But I mean, he's right.

The crowd was responsible for the defense?

Scoring 38 points on the road should be a recipe for a victory. We weren't really affected by the crowd except for maybe one drive, and I doubt it really matters in the long run.

Mullen has always been about packing the stadium, selling tickets, but the weird thing is every time he starts talking like that it's after a loss so it looks even worse.

"Tickets might sell better if the defense was half good."

Last year: "Tickets might sell better if Franks isn't the QB."

If he wants to pack the stands, put a good product on the field. Right now we have a decent product, polar opposites on offense and defense to make us a middling team.

He didnt blame the crowd for the loss. He gave their crowd credit. He said the defense was unacceptable and personal will be looked at. What else should he say? He cant make bold statements post game before looking at tape. Wait to see what changes are made. We will know next week if Mullen is serious or a pretender looking to coast by on nine-ten wins seasons by who is on the bench.

Do you want me to link you to "The Speech"?

He said the crowd was a major factor, and then made a half-flaccid attempt to tell people to come watch football.

I'd've just said the truth: One side of the ball has consistently gotten it done, the other has not. We have young guys who, if they want to play, let me know and we'll put 'em in.

Whatever we can do to fix this, I'm disappointed, it's not Davis' fault. etc. etc.

He isnt firing Grantham mid season. If massive improvement isnt made though, him and most of the defense has to go I agree. Maybe keep...naw frick it they can all go.

Bro he straight fell before it started. That was hilarious. I was fine with the press conference. He was furious. It wasn't awww shucks type of post game. It was, I'm saying what I need to say and getting out of here six minutes. That tells me he is pissed. We need him mad as frick. The whole defense needs to run stadiums for hours till they puke. Then make them run them again. In high school we gave up 50 to Xavier Lee's Daytona team. Our coach had everyone of us puking and I thought I was going to die. Never gave up 50 again.

I love Mullen, but this is one of those times where being angry is cool -- but we need to see a difference. He says what we want to hear, but the defense has looked the same for a while now.

Any QB who can read a defense has gashed us, if they identify the blitz or see our coverage, they have read it effortlessly and moved the ball against us.

I would seriously start to consider to play a shorter field, go for it more often on fourth down and play like every single down is a drive to win the game.
