Following Florida football the past decade, I have to think that Kelvin Taylor has by far the most talent that any Gator RB has had in years. Just think how good he could run if he had a talented OL to run behind

And if he didn't have backup qbs playing who cannot throw well and thus giving defenses the edge...they stack the box and want to force us to throw.

At times against USC they brought the house and also stacked 8 players from to keep us from running;

He runs just like his father.

I don't think he runs as upright as his dad...his dad was definitely an upright runner and young Kelvin seems to lower shoulder more...which I like to see as correct method...but I prefer that upright style to watch...Larry Smith, Tom Christian, Taylor senior, Ciatrick Fason etc etc

Really good underrated RB for UF. Loved watching that guy run.

Larry Smith was tall large rb back in the mid 1960s in an era where there wasn't big rbs around much. I had the pleasure of watching him for two years in high school.
At UF he outweighed a few OL believe it or not. I had a very good friend who played on the OL in early 1960s and he was 185-190 lbs soaking wet and about 5'9-10".

I agree, but the shiftiness and the lateral moves are almost exactly the same.

Natural runner with great vision and lateral quickness.

Only gripe I have against Taylor is the lack of breakaway speed. He is still a great runner and he is improving the more PT he gets.

HA. I like that Mack Brown tries to run hard, surprised that an Urban RB recruit would not have much speed. I guess I figured Mack had speed because Urban recruited him.

Its kind of funny that I thought one of the things the UF offense of 2010 was missing was a power runner to go along with the speed of Demps and Rainey. Now UF is missing a speed back.

If we can keep Cook, the Taylor/Cook combination will be nasty.

I honestly think great rbs are born and not made by staffs. Its the "want to" that our rival purple and gold coach quotes and I agree.

Almost every position has players who PUT forth 110% EFFORT and you will have players who are extremely talented that don't put forth but 85% effort and you shake your head. Young Hargreaves didn't just drop onto a football field ready to be All SEC CB....he will outwork you.

He definitely works hard, but hes extremely talented.

Best UF CB I've seen since Lito Sheppard.

Janoris was pretty darn good. Shut down Julio and AJ green on multiple occasions.
