I look forward to the opportunity to see Texas and ou play in the swamp.
And making a trip to both stadiums, especially with us leaving with a W

The playoff has been hot garbage and I’m glad they’re expanding. Unfortunately the BCS was the height of CFB and were on a downward slope IMO, but at least we’ll get to see the Gators play some great away games now.

I agree with this.
For all of the shite the BCS got, it was still a decent system. The playoff has been just absolutely terrible.

Idk the Georgia ou and Georgia Alabama games a few years ago were amazing. In addition Clemson and Alabama that one year when Clemson won at the last second was amazing. Clemson OSU was also good two years ago. I feel like there have been a lot of good playoff games.

Of course there are some good Playoff games, but people have completely lost interest in it because it's basically Alabama and whoever can navigate the limp dick schedules of The Big XII, X, ACC or the PAC-12.
The "automatic bid" holdover is just a terrible idea, which is why an expansion makes the most sense. This is literally the BCS system with extra steps. A committee gets together, decides who goes to play, they're not necessarily the best teams, but they're the champions of their league (outside of Georgia-Alabama, but it's Alabama and they get whatever they want, even second chances).
I really dislike the system with four teams.

That being said ...
OU fits the SEC sports profile and will be good for some of the no football Gator sports
Utx is a cancer and it was good when they left the SIAA (what created the SEC) and will probably not be a good member now. I love TX but the ego's of some Texans is in great excess of their success. I put Utx fans in the same basket as U$C fans and Ohio State fans.
Long view is we have been down this super conference road before and they were broken up to create regional conferences. I can see this happening again as loyalty will be replaced with revenue and and interest among the masses will decline. Happened in polo (140K showed up back in the day, now they are shocked to see 1.4 K at a match. Happened in boxing (everyman could see local bout and take the kids, now lest expensive seats are 10K and are limited to Vegas)

I was 74 yesterday (still full of piss and vinegar) and I remember when Tulane and Ga Tech were members of the SEC.
After their departures, there was no rush to expand...the SEC lived on. Of course back then the $$$$ wasn't what it is now....greed has really changed everything.
