Doesn’t fire Todd Grantham, he will not win a championship here. You can fire all the position coaches you want but the problem is mentality and scheme. Todd Grantham preaches fast, physical, and aggressive but it’s soft as baby shite with confusing backend principles. If he isn’t fired now it will without question happen next year and year 5 with a new DC will not result in a SEC championship. Will be get a year 6 to revel in mediocrity? This is make or break for Mullen and I’m afraid he is what we thought he was before he took this job. A good offensive mind without the balls to be elite at this stuff. I hate it and I want to be great. How can I care more than Dan Mullen? Makes no sense.

This is not make or break for Mullen. 3 straight NY6 bowl appearances... comon. Lay off the pipe.

Grantham will be returning next season. Next season will be a rebuilding season of sorts, but we could have another chance at a NY6 bowl. 2022 will be our year.

Agree on this. Grantham just is not good enough. His scheme only works with elite corners and pass rushers. We really have neither. So need DC who does what Mullen does..adjust the scheme to fit personnel. I want a young innovative cord like Miss State got. Give me that over the guys who rotate jobs please.

Now Robinson coming back would be a massive grab. We know he can recruit and is a good DB coach would be happy there at least.

Wouldn't mind his recruiting but the tackling and DB's playing far off the ball still gonna drive you nuts.

Unfortunately I don't think Dan has the balls to fire Grantham the only todd leaves is on Todd's on accord and the only way to do that is by us the fans dumping on him every day.

Because if its one thing Grantham doesn't like its being criticized about his job performance and this year was piss poor and without a doubt will be next year also.

Did anyone watch Clemson last night?? IF you watch the defense, numerous times they had at least 1 corner 10-12 yds off the WR...and when they didnt...both corners were back pedaling at the snap of the ball. Clemson has a little bit better pass rush than us. Clemson's DC is the guy everyone would love to have as their coordinator. Brent Venables is considered one of the best.

Bama on the other hand, played a LOT of man to man...the big difference? Bama had a fierce pass rush on Neuter Damsel. You can play man to man a lot when you have your four man DL in the QBs face.

We, on the other hand...did not have a pass rush this year except for Cox really. Playing man to man a lot is like putting a gun to your temple. We missed Moon, but we need a bonafide pass rush. Dont know if we will have it in 2021

Some caveats:

Clemson had a pretty bad game.

Ohio State only had to prepare for that game.

Using Clemson as an example of "it's okay" flops once you realize they were playing a National Title Contender and not, let's say, an Oklahoma team that lost to Kansas State.

Or an LSU team missing almost half of their players at home. (Both of these teams moved the ball at will against our defense.)

I agree, we should take note that the college football landscape is changing. Offense is the new "must have" for championships. However, we need our defense to be better, at every facet of the game. Hopefully next year this rings true.

Ill take Campbell... Right now.

JS
Some team is gonna hit a homerun with him, hopefully its not an SEC East team.

It pisses you off to watch his teams in the trenches, his OL pushed Oregon off the ball and created lanes all day. Our guys are just like fk it. No fire, no attitude. That's on Coaching. Hevs is on the clock imo as well.

Playing off ball is on DC more than position coach.

He has done insanely well with UsC corners
