How do you choose who gets the ball in this offense

The amount of play makers is insane right now.

Toney, Cleveland, Hammond, Swain, Copeland, Davis, Pierce, Perine, Jefferson, Grimes, Pitts, Gamble....

Every single one of these guys deserves the ball in their hands. Every single one can make plays. If you are Mullen you have to be excited as hell to have this many weapons, but also wonder how you can get each an appropriate amount of touches.

Jefferson is the best pure receiver. Grimes is right behind him. Hammond has the best hands. Toney is the most creative. Copeland has the quickest first step and is the strongest WR. Cleveland wins 50/50 balls as good as anyone(but doesn't seem to run routes as well as others). Swain is explosive as well and a good mix of a few guys in one package.

Seriously I can't remember the last time we were this loaded. Just watching highlights of these guys...Jesus. If Franks really has gotten better our offense could be insanely lethal. There aren't many secondaries in the country with 3-4 Dbs talented enough to cover our receiving core. While it's not Alabama level, we have to have the second best in the conference.

This season needs to start already...freaking 10 more days

The guy that's open

In all seriousness, it starts with running the ball. Force teams to commit to stopping that, and then attack the weak link on the back end of the defense.

If teams don't fear the UF running game, the passing game becomes much easier to defend unless Franks has progressed a lot.

Mullen will always try to run the ball...but Miamuh has a good defense...expect us to pass to set up the run. Hand the ball the ball to RBs and suck in the flanks and then Franks can get yardage...Or the option pitchout to counter their aggression....just need to make sure the OLB is blocked to spring it.

I think with Miami we need to use the pass to set up the run.

Their LB core is elite. Their Dline lost a few players but is still very, very good.

Not as sold on secondary. I watched 7 games from last year this past week and honestly it seemed pretty average vs a team with a pulse.

I'd think we try to use screens and misdirection plays a ton. Diaz will blitz often to create "havoc".

Luckily. We can turn those slants and screens into big plays. I'd also think we see a lot of tosses/speed option toss like vs LSU to get the ball to the outside away from those LBers.

Either way...Mullen knows what he is doing.
