Definitely the last time I listen to any regime.
The part that bothers me the most is that they were literally the same articles a few seasons ago and people just copy and pasted. 2017 - 2019 were the exact same articles about Franks specifically.

I mean, maybe he looks different in practice and in preparation.
Or maybe it is all just bull.
We'll know based on results on the field in a few weeks.

Bump for Straws to rant in here. We need a good pre game rant from Straws.

While Franks had a great day against an FCS Team:
True Freshman Sam Howell went:
16/24, 274 yards with 2 touchdowns and 0 interceptions against Miami's "Elite" Defense.
17/27, 254 yards with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions and a fumble.
If you're keeping track: Sam Howell literally beat Franks in every single passing category available against the same defense.
In other news: Miami's Quarterback (also, hilariously, a redshirt freshman) has his first 300+ yard passing game, something Franks has not achieved even against FCS teams.
So don't throw your shoulders out giving each other high fives, we still have a lot to fix and you guys pumping Miami was just white noise.

Is there any question after last night about who the best qb on the team is?

Youre embarrassing yourself.
Stop, just stop.
Stop, just stop.

according to #Gators postgame notes, only 27 times THIS SEASON has a QB completed at least 25 passes for 250 yards with 2 TD's and no INTs. Feleipe Franks' 92.6 completion percentage is by far the highest.

Straws like to compare apples to oranges. First of all..can you enlighten us with how many OL starters returned for N. Carolina before shouting Sam Howell?
Obviously NC has a good team but Straws thinks the whole game revolves around the QB....there are 10 other players.

He then talks about who we played that Franks lit up, yet had it been an SEC D his boy The Kang wouldve had a pick 6 as he threw the worst pass of the night

And yes, NC outrushed us too vs Miami..,

Straws can stuff this with her Sunday brunch:
Franks QB rating 96..5
Sam Howell 74.9
W.Williams 49.6

Feleipe Franks was one of the happiest guys when Kyle Trask and Emory Jones scored on Saturday. I asked him about it, full quote below.
How bout that

Absolutely.
Getting 100% of the attention + playing behind the first string offensive line helps a lot. Franks wasn't touched and had zero hurries the entire game. The two hurries came against Trask and Jones, playing behind the second string OL with second string WRs.
There's a question, for sure. We know Franks was rated the worst among P5 Quarterbacks in 2018 regarding pressure. He will likely fold under pressure again, we have no idea how the others will work against pressure.

reel: Straws always compares apples to oranges.
You just compared QB Ratings from Howell and Franks playing -- Howell played Miami, Franks played an FCS.
Why not compare them against a defense they both faced?
You listed the wrong rating like the senile old frick you are, too.
Sports Reference:
Sam Howell: Rating 175.8
Feleipe Franks: Rating 151.6
ESPN:
Sam Howell: 74.9
Feleipe Franks: 38.6
If you're seriously so fricking stupid that you think playing the same defense and a True Freshman eating Franks' lunch isn't statistically valid then you're dumber than I thought, reel.

I don't even count FCS teams as wins, to be honest. Neither does the NCAA when it comes to bowl games. You know why? They're playing with significantly less talent.
He ate his cupcake, just like he does every year. Good for him.
Do the same thing against LSU and Georgia and let's talk.

With our OL issue that you fail to see, Id imagine he’ll be running for his life
Posted on 9/8/19 at 3:02 pm to dbuchanon
Our offensive line is fantastic in pass protection, which is why Franks has had a better results so far. Miami wasn't nearly as good as we thought they were on defense (having just lost to UNC) -- we will have serious problems against teams that get after Franks.
Running offense will fix itself once we prove that we can throw it downfield, just like it did yesterday. In the second half our rushing offense more than tripled.
Similarly:
Perine, Pierce, Davis, Franks, Copeland and Clement all averaged over 5 yards of rushing.
Rushing is not the problem when the offense is failing, nor is it really the OL.
You said they didn't load the box, yes they did:
You could make an argument that the safety wasn't directly in the box, but he's clearly coming forward in run support, there are 8.
Eight in the box but they're obviously reacting to a quick throw to the outside.
Obvious.
Obvious.
This was just one drive that I took these from, they were doing it literally the entire game.
You guys have made up your mind and provide no evidence to the contrary. This is what every defense has done to us every single season for over a decade.
Martin dared us to pass the ball and our offense started to click when we did, we will have to do that in the future, too, if we want any success.
I am not convinced yet, and will not be convinced until I see our team confidently and easily move down the field for multiple drives a game. One sustained drive a game is not going to win us the SEC, let alone the East.

The most common occurrence of eight in the box in the NFL involves the strong safety walking down from his position (moving to within) 10-15 yards off the line of scrimmage before the ball is snapped.

Yes, its obvious im right. 3-2-6 just like I said. The 2 high safeties are closer in one pic due to being in the RZ but still not in the box.
Btw, theres literally no more than 6 defenders in any pick you posted lololol

They had 6 dbs and Even Mullen said at times they dropped 8. Seems they were more worried about the pass than the run

Plus, love how all your pics are post snap because you have NONE presnap of defenders loading the box. Instead you let it play to show the 2 high safeties coming downhill to meet the RB after the handoff when the play was obvious.
