There are a ton of guys in the NFL that give back to their communities. Kaepernick, as much as people hate him, has given 700k at least, and pledged a million.
Guys like Warrick Dunn have been buying families houses for decades.
Even assholes like Ndamukong Suh are big givers. Brandon Marshal, Drew Brees, the list goes on and on.
Not everyone makes enough money to make a huge difference. Minimum pay is like 400k or something, and they probably lose like half of that in taxes and paying agents and stuff, so not everyone is sitting on a giant pile of money either.
I don't see why people hate on the NFL so much. These guys work their asses off for what they get paid, and then have to do all of their professional work on TV where we get to yell and scream at them and say horrible things about them. Some guys on the higher end of the spectrum it gets a bit ridiculous, but come on. Don't be such a hater.

A flag is just a symbol of that right.
The flag is a symbol of so much more. To not stand for 2 minutes to honor all the flag stands for is selfish and a slap in the face of the people that died to give them that right. Yes, it protects your right to do so but right is right and wrong is wrong and that is just wrong. The league is at fault for refusing to show leadership in this matter and following it's own rules regarding the pledge. Oh, but they don't want to offend any snowflakes!

Heaven forbid that you have to live playing a game for only 440K and the guys making league minimum aren't stepping on the field anyway. The NFL, NBA and Major League Baseball are all a group of mostly overpaid, self centered, spoiled brats who have no respect for anything except the dollar bill. There are some exceptions but the majority fits this description.

It is not a slap in the face for everyone, just those that choose to be offended. I think it's funny that you are calling out snowflakes when you are so offended yourself.
The right to protest and free speech should be sacrosanct in this country.

Dude most of them work the same amount of hours, maybe more, than lawyers and businessmen making the same amount of money raping us all in wall street.
We call it a game, for them it's a job. Every day.
And if they get one step too slow, or get hit in the head one too many times, they lose that job. Forever.

So great, I can go fly my Confederate battle flag just because I can and it won't be a slap in anyone's face, just those who choose to be offended. Bullshite!
Libs always talk out of both sides of their mouths.
Just to be clear, I don't own a confederate battle flag.
Protesting is one thing, disrespecting the flag that people have died to defend is another.

This isnt a Country where someone is behind you with an AK-47 forcing you to do something, shouldnt that in itself make you WANT to stand and honor those who made that a possibility??

Looking for kisses every time your fee fees get hurt. Typical.

Go fly the confederate flag if you want. Your choice.
Although I think it's silly that people fly that to honor their heritage when it represents an enemy combatant but whatever. Don't see how you can honor vets and fly a confederate flag but whatever.
It's a free country.
Again it comes down to choosing to be offended imo.

I stand and honor it. But I know that there are people in this country that have a real gripe and if this brings attention to it fine by me.

Same here. And I don't find it accident that when the country was founded that the people who founded it didn't bother with a national anthem (1931) or a pledge of allegiance (1942). While I certainly think they would feel a person has a duty to his society as part of a social contract being the products of the Enlightenment that they were, I imagine quite a few of them would find enforced respect for symbols of the state to be abhorrent.

Tell that to the millions that have been slaughtered by the US military for "freedom" and "democracy" in the ME. Kids, women elderly completely innocent people. frick the flag and the military. They aren't protecting freedom just corporate profits. It's not anyone's fault but your own that you fell for the bs propaganda that put you in harms way.

Sorry bro. I've got family in the Army and the navy and pisses me off when they spew that shite. If people gave a frick about freedom we wouldn't be in the Me or have to deal with the BS government we have and these democrat and republicans would've been hanging in the streets when they tried to steal money via taxes, CAF, SS, etc.
