Emory sucks overall.
Anthony is better at running but questionable at throwing.
Pretty much it.
Dan looks dumbfounded when asked about the starting position in the post game.
Both questionable passers imo. Anthony overthrew all of his passes on the final drive. Pretty sus.

I think AR was just hyped up on those passes at the end of the game.

AR looks like he has the most upside easily. Emory looked so ridiculously uncomfortable. Really no excuse as a 4th year junior.
It might be because our pass catchers aren’t great. Maybe Emory just doesn’t trust them meanwhile AR is like frick it I don’t care.

Don’t read much into the last drive. Two passes were to the walk on on deep balls trying to score. That was intentional by him and Mullen I guarantee you.
The bowman pass could have been a simple thought Bowman would cut in earlier who knows.
Point is…he is clearly the better overall player as practice reports said. I hate it..Jones is a great kid but man that was awful

I would say that we should probably have the in game thread here since no on on the SECRant really cares about us. It would be a fun little experiment to never post there on game day.

To be fair our game was the same time as a lot of others. Aggies, LSU, Georgia, etc all playing at once. No one was watching our game vs FAU

I fricking suck at trolling, and I know it. My era of the internet was pretending to be a lesbian on MIRC in order to get pictures from other fake lesbians on MIRC. Like, I was out of the primo online troll bootcamps before 4Chan was even a thing.

Pretty much sums up yesterday. I was giving Emory the benefit of the doubt going into the game yesterday, but he didn’t look confident or comfortable. Had some really terrible reads. AR is the future, need to just ride with him.

i'm still not sold on both being good to great passers. they both can run, but i've yet to see them both perform consistently when passing.
i would put some blame on emory's performance on mullen. when AR had to come out, mullen should've called a run play to allow AR to come back out and finish the drive. screwing up with the flow hurt emory imo.
i hope emory plays better saturday.

Overall there were a lot of improvements in key areas.
The running game was really good. Malik Davis is back to 100%. Pierce is a heck of a short yardage back. Bowman looked explosive. AR was unstoppable and so exciting. As exciting as the last 15 at QB.
The defensive line dominated. Carter is free to rush the passer at DE instead of being inside on passing downs. DTs were disruptive. Gervon was impressive in limited snaps. Big Dex played whole series. Only negative is Cox not setting the edge but he is a great pass rusher.
The defense was lined up correctly against a tempo team. So that was an improvement over last year.
Safety play was solid. Much better than last year.
Those first two drives were great, not sure what happened after that for Emory.
I hate Todd Grantham. Not sure why we blitz but have our CBs ten yards back. Soft zones and blitzs should be mutually exclusive but not for Grantham's dumb arse. Our DL would get so much more pressure if we played press.
Why was Elam returning punts? He is not that type of athlete. Henderson did a much better job and he is not the most important player on the whole team.
16 should not be a starter. Got to find a decent star position.
