If Florida makes it to a bowl game, do you think that the new coaches system will begin to be installed and it be like a pre-spring bowl game for the new staff?

Obviously the new coach wouldn't coach the game, but do you think he'd use the bowl practices to begin installing the new offense that he wants to get a head start heading into next spring/next season?

I doubt Florida is making it to a bowl game.

They would have to win 3 of 4. Now true, the teams in front of them aren't very good, but I can't even imagine the mess that Shannon is looking at right now.

The practices would be extremely valuable, especially if we were going to begin installing the new offense/defense

I could see UF winning 3/4 or 4/4, if Shannon gets the players minds right.

Missouri
South Carolina
UAB
FSU

Lets not act like thats murderer's row.

shite, putting Zaire in fixes almost every problem we've had going forward. Teams have had trouble stopping our run, and we just went up against the best run defense we'll face.

I pegged us losing to UAB with Mac at the helm. Now, I don't know what to think. I don't see us winning 3 out of 4. 2 and 2 is probably reasonable. This team has too many bad habits to fix over night. A new coach shouldn't touch this mess until after the season. Evaluate the talent and work on relationships now but wait until you have the keys to the car before you start driving.

Sure, but think about it.

We lost to mediocre LSU and A&M teams by a combined 3 points.

South Carolina and Missouri aren't that much better, likely worse than those two.

It's not far fetched.

Oh, we can certainly win out. Getting rid of Butter's might be the lift we needed. Yet, I could also see us struggling as well. I think we have to be reasonable and not get too upset if we don't win. This team is not very good and when you can't move the ball, anybody can beat you.

We ran for 180+ against UGA...Mizzou should see 300 yds running...USC isn't that stout on the DL and has depth issues on both sides of the ball...they play hard but in the fourth qt with a lead I like our chances....just cant turn the ball over on the road. UAB is very winnable and the girls school got bulldozed by Boston Colleges run game.

USC is the toughest test with Mizzou next.

Possibly. Depends. If he is hired but coaches his teams bowl, then I doubt we try that.

Wasn't sure if there was any precedent of that.

I think things will be different with the early signing period in terms of coaches leaving before bowl games now.

That was the stat that blew my mind the most on Saturday.

Like that literally makes no fricking sense.

There were a ton of stats from Saturday that made no sense. They ran like 42 plays. Then obviously the four completions for 100 yards, we had the ball for 10 more minutes.

It was an awful and embarrassing game. It's time to move forward

We probably had better time of possession too. UGA didn't need to do anything because we peed down our own legs. They were up 21 points before most people got in there seats. We came out lackluster with zero energy. We beat up on UGA the same way a few years ago.

IMO no. Zaire can't run a pro style offense. The bowl practice won't help because Shannon and Co will still be running a different system

The rushing stat unfortunately is overshadowed by our inept QB play by Franks...he wasn't ready in August and he wont be for a while...believe me...I don't dislike him at all..he will be a pro QB in the future. But he is way too skinny and doesn't like standing in the pocket facing a pass rush. That's hard to coach out of a player...sure, in summer and early fall he looks great...but his team mates aren't going to really hit him.

He needs the weight room and training table badly. He seems like a great kid. The coaches should have NEVER started him til he had time to come in for a few series in some early games to see what he would do. He's had the weight of Gator Nation on his shoulders and it wasn't fair.
