Yeah, that is one badly coached team.

At least we were missing both starting safeties, a few LBs, our best lineman and all that.

Just as suspected, Kirby won't be able to get the QB situation right. Three offensive coordinators, Fromm has been the only successful Quarterback.

Stetson Bennett is okay, but he will get exposed against a team that isn't Arkansas.

Franks still looks terrible, can't get anything going, makes terrible decisions.

I have no idea what they're going to do for Auburn, Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, Us and Mississippi State.

All of those teams are going to have decent offenses, and they're going to have to play very, very clean games for it to work.

Bennett has no power in that arm, Mathis has terrible mechanics and JT Daniels still isn't cleared for contact which has to mean that he won't be too great this year due to a ton of rust/lack of practices.

Can you imagine how bad it would of been had they drawn Mississippi State and not Arkansas.

No cap, we're lucky we got Ole Miss rather than Mississippi State, too.

However, MSST, Auburn and Alabama may be the three best teams in the West right now.

So far and I know this is early. UT looks like a tougher game then Georgia.

With Stetson at QB, Tennessee and South Carolina will be tougher for us. Any team that can consistently pass and run will be trouble unless Grantham has a better gameplan going forward.

So far, Georgia has a guy who can pass well and run okay, and a guy who can run well and pass okay.

We had how many guys out? We’re always sloppy the first game.

They took advantage of our best safety going out and being replaced with a freshman. They had a lot of chunk plays as a result.

Pump the breaks.

I’ve been saying this all day dude.

We had 4 starters out if you include Davis who basically played for 7 plays before getting ejected.

We’ll be fine on defense.

5* starters, actually.

Davis
Stewart
Campbell
Moon
and Houston who would have started if he wasn't already dealing with an injury (Burney took his place).

We were also without Wingo (backup LB), among others. So we were actually pretty damn thin on defense.

We played sloppy on D but almost all teams did. Next week is at home and hopefully our players will be back. Conditioning appeared to be an issue for everyone. Our coverage and tackling has to improve in the secondary. I think we are in good shape if we can correct those things.

I'm not that worried. We had no clue what they would run. Having to play a hurry up offense when you have no clue what they are doing with great athletes is challenging.

It will look a lot better next week. The offense was awesome for us though. Toney looks like a more complete player and the Oline did its job.

Defense got off to a rocky start last year too. Hopefully they get settled in. The 3rd and long conversions seem like an ongoing theme, though.

Mullen said post game they only tackled in full pads twice. Which makes a lot of sense to the struggles.

No huddle offense with us having thin depth at certain positions. Recipe for scoring.

Just remember. Ole miss put up 37 last year and about the same yards vs Ole Miss. That was pre Kiffin.

I'm feeling no panic here. Week 1 played out very well for us. We have easily fixable issues like tackling and getting health. Luckily South Carolina nor Aggies have scary offenses. I think we will know our defense better at the end of week 3. If it still looks bad, then we can panic.

Well, for like a minute. But fair enough. At least Plumlee didn't run up and down the field on us. I'll feel a lot better when Stiner isn't starting, though.
