“A lot of growth,” junior wide receiver Freddie Swain said of Franks. “Especially with Coach Mullen now. You can see he’s changing. Just from camp, he’s getting smarter, he’s learning and he’s getting bigger, he’s getting faster. He’s just becoming an all-around quarterback. That’s great.”

“He’s come a long way, especially mentally, just growing and maturing as a person,” Reese said. “He always had the ability. Just mentally and being more vocal as a leader, he’s come a good way.”

Why would this be bad news, we need a QB to develop and run the offense? I don't care if it's Franks, Trask, Jones, Toney or a walk on equipment manager.

We shouldn't get hung up on who it is, but rather, can he get the job done? The coaches will play the guy that gives us the best chance to win. I will support whoever that may be. Go Gators!

A lot of Gators news agencies have been trying to push that narrative, but it's the off-season and always look at the sources.

Freddie Swain was one of the worst receivers we had on the team last year. He currently sits behind:

Cleveland.
Hammond
Toney.
Massey.
Powell.
Stephens for frick's sake.
Goolsby.

Reese is a defensive player, Gardner-Johnson is a defensive player.

Oh, and Robbie Andreu may be one of the worst sources for Gators news.

I trust TJ McCoy way more than either of them and some other players on the line.

"Kyle Trask has been working hard,'' center T.J. McCoy said. "He's been really competing hard and studying hard and just really working his tail off. I'm proud of him and I just can't wait to see what he does in the next couple of weeks in our scrimmages and the spring game. He's a fighter. I believe he is a great leader, too. Every time we're in the huddle, he's like, 'come on guys, let's go get it right.' He's really encouraging. I think he's really confident in everything he is doing."

It should be patently clear that a guy like Cleveland hasn't said something -- and they're really good friends. Or maybe someone on the line.

You know not to get me riled up on this, Finch. -_-
