Offense on the other hand concerns me. Coley’s history is concerning but I do like his concepts. We’ll see quick what kind of OC he is. Chaney did some great things but he was way to choppy in his play calling.
The Gator in me of course says that he's a bust and that's a wrap, but the objective person in me says that it can be likely that he was in a Muschamp situation where the HC didn't let him run his type of offense.
Muschamp was extremely stingy with how he run the offense and always had his little sausage fingers in it, which obviously ruined offensive continuity.
If Kirby says what Mullen said about the defense: "You've done this your whole career, it's your responsibility -- I'm just going to yell at you when it's not working." Then it's likely it can be very successful. Most OCs just want to call their offense without all of the input.

I’m not worried about the defense.
I think a lot of HCs, conversely, make the mistake of giving too much attention to one side. Of course he needs to let his OC run the show as I said above, but you still have to be present and ensure that the offense at least feels like they're important.
Kirby can't just put all of his focus on the defense, and has to run the entire team. So maybe your DC can at least be a good placeholder for now so Kirby can just make sure everything is running smoothly.
Honestly, though, the way he talks (like at the Georgia Spring Game) it makes me wonder if Kirby has NFL aspirations.
