What a disappointment. Absoluetly pathetic performance. Dawson and Sharpe ain't ready for bigtime.

Not necessarily the end of the world in terms of hte rest of the season, but I've had my doubts about the playcalling of McElwain and Nuss for a while.

They quit calling plays in the 2nd half.

Play calling got way too conservative in the second half.

Playcalling was suspect but the OL completely stopped blocking in the second half.

My thing is this. After the first half that was probably the most confidence Appleby has had in his entire college career and the play calling in the second half just shut him down. I've been saying we're a year or 2 away from having a good oline.

Lol no.

OL sucked, but this was a direct result of McElwain and Nuss mailing it in.

Team knew it.

The 2nd half game plan was shite, the execution on offense was shite, and the defense - I'm not even sure what to say.

They got beat straight up man to man.

Tennessee had more heart, more desire, and more skill, and that is why they won.

Period, end of story. The team and coaches have a lot of soul searching to do.

We'll be fine. We were expected to lose this game. If we can get to 8 wins, I'll call it a success

Also, I guess we know why VH3 was back returning punts inside the 20 last year

That's my biggest problem. AA was balling the first half. One dropped pass in the third quarter, and we just went to ground and pound unless it was third and we were trying to get a bunch of yards until it was too late.

Yeah - the 2nd half adjustments by the offensive coaching staff were comically bad.

Of course - how could they have predicted their defense would totally shite the bed?

People will talk about the lack of offense, but it was UF's defense in the 2nd half that really lost the game.

Back to back 40+ yard TD passes and the game was over.

Our defense was looking pretty suspect by the end of the second half IMO. They were getting a lot of help from dropped balls. Even TNs first drive in the third quarter - it ended with an INT, but they were ghost walking through that series.

No idea what the deal was there - maybe starting to buy into your own hype. But I felt they desperately needed the offense to put points up, even if it was just a FG, in that first drive in the second half.

Another thing with me is this. I like Macs offense. It works at times. Receivers are running wide open nearly every play if you watch the film. My only reservation is that it takes a dominant oline for this offense to run at peak performance. I think the staff got tricked into thinking they had a good oline and tried to pound the clock away with the ground game and bit them in the arse.

Stop blaming coaches....its quite simple...you get a 21-3 lead and the fat OL think the games is over...Sharpe had his lunch money taken time and again....and entire OL did not have an edge in 2nd half...it happens...dont blaming coaches after 1 loss...its an SEC away game...the only game I see as a stumbling block is Arkie on the road...we win out our SEC slate up til that game.
I told everyone BFA the whole week...and we did it in the first half but you cant throw bombs when the OL is shite.
UT still has UGA & A&M on the road and then Bama at home, there are 2 Ls there. Keep your heads up.

Nah. I'm still placing a lot of the blame on the coaches. But thanks for the sentiments.

I left work at halftime. I got home expecting a 31-34 to 13 or so score

What the Frick happened?
Scarlet was killing them, appleby was doing well and tge defense was balling.

Did they just lay down n show their belly?
