I mean you go back to literally last year and our run game was great. Recruits aren't idiots. I mean Georgia did fine getting offensive players despite their showing this year. So that's nonsense.

And then follow that up with D'Andre Swift's performance in the Sugar Bowl.

Why would they fall for that when he was injured and White had a pretty dang good game filling in

And as much as it pains me to agree with Straws he's pretty on point. Kids want to be shown how you plan to showcase them in the future and you have to convince them of that.

We are losing Clayton right now because we slow played his offer. I don't blame him. Colorado has been on him forever.

Gibbs is staying at GT if he does because of family.

This isn't losing. Alabama wants Gibbs right now too.

Sometimes you can't pull people away.

Now bowman, that was a swing and a miss, but Clemson is just a machine right now.

I'm perfectly fine with Shorter. That kids tape is insane and we have substantially better S&C and coaching here.

Every transfer Mullen has grabbed has lived up to potential so far. So while all four may not hit, most likely at least 2 will.

What kills me is that they think the coaches just aren't saying the right thing. Of course our coaches are saying: This is a one and done, no way will this be repeated, we promise that we'll utilize the offensive pieces better etc. etc..

The biggest difference between Georgia and Florida this last season, because people brought up the Georgia offensive problems -- it was one year and Kirby changed the offensive staff. We still have the exact same offensive staff, almost an identical offensive line and a similar offensive philosophy going into next year.

If we can show recruits we can actually fulfill our promises next year, the recruits will come.

I would just show him the highlights for Perine's Orange Bowl MVP performance. That recent enough?

No, that's one game vs. a pretty mediocre defense.

We rushed for the most yards against UVA all year, but again, the ACC is complete dogshit.

They gave up 23 rushing touchdowns last season, just for reference: We gave up 9.

I don't even know what we are arguing about. I am saying if you are recruiting a RB to Fla, show them the OB highlights on Perine.

If the said prospect is argumentative like you, remind him that Perine had the best day of any RB all season vs Virginia running the ball and catching the ball for a RB as well. Now if he thinks he might want to go to UGa, which seems to be the big bad wolf around here, just simply point out that even behind their All-American OL (who are mostly all gone now) their 5 Star RBs didn't do as well vs Baylor who has a lower ranked rush defense than UVa.

As a matter of fact, Perine out gained all their RB's combined on the ground.

Or you could just throw in the towel like you seem to be and tell said recruit not to come to Fla.

Or you could be a whining baby in spite of getting a former 5-star from Miami.

I'm perfectly content with the RB room, and think they did enough to punt that position away for one year.

I just think you guys are retarded if you think any top running back in the country is looking at our offensive line and saying: Boy, I do sure love me some getting hit in the backfield every down.

I don't mind giving up any of my limited time in college on a bet that they'll improve.

Fact is: Man up or shut up, Mullen has to prove that he can run consistently if we want to get 5-star running backs.

And I mean, we got one in Lingard, anyway, so I have no idea why you guys are in conniptions over this.

The basic story I keep hearing is that Clement and Wright suck.

So if we assume they suck arse, which sadly many people do, then UF only has 2 guys on the roster, as of right now, that can actually play competitive football.

So people want one more guy, and they want a great one.

That's it, in a nut shell.

My Gf has class with one of the players. They asked what Mullen was like in real life and he said he is "bougie" which she explains means kind of fake. Said he is a great coach but the whole nice guy thing he shows to media and when recruiting isn't all that real. Thought that was interesting. Not putting name for obvious reasons but he is a good player. Could just be saying it to say it though to the group.

Just like your “inside” guy within the athletic department that was completely wrong on everything.

Stop posting lies. Rumors need confirmation per site rules anyways.

How should I confirm my GF being in class with -----? Set up a private message? Just thought it was interesting and shared it. So.

Go eat a dick.

All coaches are fake to the media.

Stop being a miserable twit and just enjoy Florida sports.

You bring nothing to this board.

Look I am not someone who follows recruiting the way a lot of you guys do nothing wrong with it I just have too much going on to worry about what an 18 year old is thinking or saying.

Honestly you could bring in Barry Sanders as a running back and if our O-Line does not improve he would not have more then 700 yards rushing this past season.lingard may end up being a very good running back or he could be another flop he hasn't played enough to know same thing with Shorter and Cox.

Bougie is not fake, man.

Bougie means like upperclass ect.
Like if I wear some nice clothes for work evt my wife will say “look at you, being all bougie.”

And Im sure Saban is a different man on the sidelines vs how he is in your living room as well

We have five RBs right now.

Pierce looks pretty damn good as a RB1. Davis and Lingard, then Clement and Wright.

That's a decent stable, but as I've been explaining: Expecting a guy to come to a school that's sucked at running all year except for one game against UVA.

I assume getting Lingard was sufficient to patch that up and that getting another RB who is a true freshman would have made zero difference.

Yep, that's just dumb.

We're going to get two running backs of above average quality to a school that couldn't run all year and has the exact same offensive line and staff?

That's not just ignorant and unrealistic, it's outright idiotic.

I think in this story people tell themselves lingard is not given a waiver.

Either way I agree I think it’s a little silly.
