Since we have the #1 ranked baseball team in the country now, I was hoping to get a thread going to for the season and get a sticky. Nothing better than a sweep of Miami!

I was pleased to see the sweep of Miami. Couldn't watch live but the replays show our boys are really seeing the ball well and hitting is strong.

Miami has a good team with great pitching, sweeping them was huge. Looking forward to this season.

I wish I could watch baseball and not fall asleep. Same with softball because we are so damn good. I am certainly cheering for them and will get to a few games to support both programs as I do every year..but I can't keep up game to game man the sport is a tough watch.

I'm one of the weird people that prefer college baseball over the pros. I don't watch a single pitch of pro baseball but rarely miss a Gator baseball game.

I think softball is easy to watch. No messing around between pitches and only 7 innings. It is just a much quicker game. Baseball is an acquired taste if you didn't grow up playing the sport, but once you know all the nuances it really is a great game. Also I didn't even consider it, but I should probably make this a baseball/softball thread since both programs are normally stout.
What do you guys think?

Yeah we are eventually gonna take some lumps like Vandy already has and I hope the team responds well to the adversity. We did not respond well last season.

This team has had to fight and come from behind several times, which shows they have some fight. We'll see how they react after a loss at some point, but I'm thinking they'll brush it off and keep rolling. The shite talking they were doing in the Miami series showed me they're fired up and ready to take on anyone.
