It seems to me the only way the NCAA will investigate is when a former player goes on record saying he was paid.
Yep. Someone has to admit it, but guys will admit that other coaches had affairs rather than talk about the recruits getting unfairly paid. Georgia, though, is obviously doing some very shady things. Even just by looking at their ridiculously bloated recruiting budget.

In 1984 guess who was on the infractions committee? None other than Vince Dooley...who jazzed himself helping to punish UF.

It's fricking shitty that we haven't had jack shite for excitement on our OV weekends this year. Flipping a couple mediocre OL from Miami doesn't count. All these blue chips have swung by, and not only have we had no commitments, it's like no one even knows they were here. No articles, no insider buzz, no late additions to the board. It's been very ho-hum, makes me think we should expect disappointment.

UF will win a national title in the next five years.
I believe it. I can see the small things building the right way.

Geez H Christ these recruits owe you nothing. Let them have their day in the sun. Most come from families who have never had this much excitement before. They will most likely announce on ESD, AA games or NLOI day. Be patient.

It's really not even the lack of verbals that bothers me.
I've decried recruiting clickbait as much or more than anyone, but this year seems like there is absolutely no coverage at all of our class, or else it's the least exciting close in years. No plan B/C names have dropped, no surprise visitors, no full court press on long shot blue chips.
If we were in the top 10 and it was quiet, that's be great. Not so great when we're around 20.
Maybe the beats just aren't clued into Mullen very well.

Muthsera, don't know how to break this to you. But there are no surprises, Santa aint coming, his elves all got food poisoning, the reindeer got hoof & mouth and kids have all been naughty
Truthfully I've been pissed at media WAY WAY before recruiting period. UF has not gotten but a smidgen of media exposure in several years. ESPN has to pimp the girls school...and now that the acc will have its own network, if ESPN is involved...lookout. The only way to beat the system is to win and keep winning and then ESPN/ABC will be forced to deal with us.

Higdon has said and continues to say that Florida will finish top 10. I've said probably around 12, but the Blue Chip ratio is more important to me than anything. I know for a fact that he doesn't actually want to play underclassmen, and that these guys will likely be in the system for years before they see the field. McElwain's mismanagement is the only reason we have so many underclassmen all over the field.
And the coverage that's there right now is completely worthless. Recruits have caught on that there are leaks in the system so these sites are trying to play ball a lot more and throw water on the blanket.
It's bizarre, because it's like they don't want Florida fans to even get a little hyped about guys who are very likely coming to Florida.

Got a 2020 commit
4 star DB from GA

Yep, the next few years -- I know Mullen can get the recruits, but I just feel like Gators fans have been really kind of stupid about wanting immediate results.
We have 4 blue chips, two non.

Im not basing this on Higdon, but we are going to do well at the close of all this....color me not worried. Muth, WHY are you so fricking up tight about recruiting rankings????? Who gives a rats arse.
I don't give a shite if we were 30th...whats does it really matter? It isn't even ESD yet and you are all bent out. I say...relax. Don't worry about what you cant change. These are kids..17-18 yr olds. I wouldn't bet a nickel on what they will do or don't do.

That's why I've been shitting on certain podcasts who were narrative, agenda writing since the beginning of this cycle and appealed to the most negative of Gator fans. -- Oh, and I will be talking mad shite about that August 1st deadline bull shite they were driving all fricking off-season.
Are you talking about Sikes? I just saw that 247 has fully turned on him and he's basically a pariah there now, after they slobbered all over his knob from January to September.

Yes, that dude has been such a little shitbird for riling people up -- he tried to cash in on the negagator market and my entire argument has been with him:
He's completely missed several predictions regarding recruiting. The big one was the Blue Chip ratio being the same from August 1st to NSD. We were literally at 25% on August 1st, so for him to be correct we have to finish with 25% or less Blue Chips.
We're almost at 60% right now, and I have no doubt that almost 100% of our next players will be Blue Chips.
The second one is his obsession with elite recruiting in spite of three of the four playoff teams being non-elite recruiting schools. Ohio State, Florida State, Georgia, Texas and USC are all watching teams that didn't recruit as well as them in the Playoffs.
Also, he better pray that Alabama wins the Championship, or non-elite recruiting teams will have won 2 out of 5.
Bill Sikes is the worst, but the Gators Breakdown should have went way, way away with them. It's always better to predict success when writing about a team than it is to predict failure.

Looks like Steele visited USC this weekend and hopper supposedly visited usce again on an unofficial.
Posted on 12/17/18 at 8:35 am to GATORGAR247
Is the Hopper visit confirmed anywhere? I know apparently the family is pushing hard for South Carolina. Kind of a dick move to tell the coaches one thing then do the opposite a few days later, right before the dead period.
Would decimate our LB class to lose him and possibly Diwun.

I read it on south Carolina s board. Poster said t rob drove him home. If true that's a violation because he's already taken an official. I haven't seen it confirmed by media yet.. gator media is real quiet the last few days. I guess we will see how it all shakes out Wednesday. I know we are top 5 for 2020 already but our player ranking is low compared to the other teams in the top 5.
Posted on 12/17/18 at 4:54 pm to GATORGAR247
I tried to tell this board that Chip Kelly was quoted years ago (while in the pros) that he hated recruiting. Well look at him now at UCLA....they are ranked OUTSIDE the top 40 ESPN rankings and are an N/L as in sux donkey tails.

Glad he passed on florida or vs versa.
