Watching the game and its halftime...several things stuck out. One, Miami Centrals OL is bigger than ours and most SEC teams...they are HUGE. Second, Davante Phillips is a stud although he isn't thrown to much....he does return kicks/punts....very sure handed.
Centrals players to watch:
# 9 Adam Mattison cb/safety senior
# 12 Tamerick Simpson 6'3" 215 OLB type senior and that #10 guy is a beast but he would have more penalty yardage for PFs than yardage saved as a safety.
Those three play with an edge.
# 35 Jamel Cook 6'4" 190 junior OLB/DE type
OL Navaugh Donalson (that's how its spelled on Max Prep) sophomore OL 6'5 310
Armwood:
Obviously Cowart stands out...Armwood shut out 9 teams this year.
# 1 Darrian McNeal sophomore wr/db 5'9" 165 and two yrs to grow some...playing wr today mostly.
# 35 Justin Manning junior lb 6' 215
# 77 Mike Brown sophomore center who blocks out the sun 6'2 335 or so. By the time he is a senior he will be highly sought after if he can keep grades and his act together....a real future beast.

Holland, yes. Ivey, no
I posted this because you need ESPN insider to read entire article. Based on this we got some work to do in securing Ivey.
Per Derek Tyson
Just hours earlier, the No. 3-ranked player in the nation talked to new Auburn defensive coordinator Will Muschamp, who had been recruiting Ivey when he was the head coach at Florida. Florida and Auburn have been Ivey’s top two schools for some time so with Muschamp heading to Auburn, could the momentum have shifted in the Tigers' direction?
"I talked to Muschamp this morning,” Ivey said. "I like Muschamp as a head coach, but you can’t go to a school off of coaches. You can’t let that affect your decision. It’s a business at the end of the day. You get paid to win, you don’t get paid to lose. You never know what might happen. You might have a down year one year, and they fire the entire staff so I’m not going to a school off a coach.”
Also working in Auburn’s favor is Ivey’s best friend and teammate Chandler Cox has been committed to Auburn since May, but again, Ivey said he has to make a business decision for his future.
"That’s my best friend. I can’t even express how much I love him. I’d do anything for him,” Ivey said of Cox. "Like I said though, it’s a business decision. Hopefully, I want to go play in the NFL one day, and I want to make a choice that’s going to benefit me and what’s going to get me there. So when it comes down to picking a college just because he’s at Auburn and he committed there, I can’t let that affect me."
Ivey, the No. 1-ranked offensive tackle in the country, also had a chance to meet new Florida head coach Jim McElwain this week. The new coach appeared to have made a good first impression on the talented lineman.
"I like the confidence in what he had and what he had to bring,” Ivey said. "He was just being himself. He wasn’t trying to be like extraordinary and just go out of his way and just try to recruit me. He’s just going to be that guy who he is and he wants me there because of who he is and he doesn’t want to sell fake recruiting to me.”
Despite having visited LSU last week, Auburn and Florida remain Ivey’s top school and he says a decision is near.
"I’ll hopefully make a decision soon,” Ivey said. “I’m going to think about it over Christmas break and hopefully think about it and pray about it and just hopefully I'll make the right decision. Whenever I feel right and I feel comfortable. Whenever I get that feeling. I’ve been getting certain feelings lately that I’ve never had before about colleges but I was focused on my high school team and accomplishing a job, so now I can’t hold it no more, I can’t push it back.
"I got to narrow it down, but that’s no surprise. I’m not sure yet, I’m still shaky, I’m still 50/50."

I know what he's telling those around him, coaches, and the media. I would be shocked if he doesn't pick UF. Not a big fan of putting too much into what recruits tell reporters.

The 8A game was pretty cool to watch...Apopka and Columbus..the single wing T is what made Spurrier come to UF because his home state school, UT was running a single wing back in the early 1960s.
Of course Martez Ivey is on the Apopka team and he is pretty quick for a large dude. He did a lot of pulling ...which is par for a single wing offense...Chandler Cox is a beast and he would make great safety/lb. very athletic.
If we somehow end up with a threesome of Ivey, Cowart and Jefferson...recruiting would be hitting a slam.

'15 TE Daniel Imatorbhebhe should be committing to UF soon as well. He and his brother are probably a package deal. His brother is a '16 WR.

Supposedly a really good WR in '16.

Recruits reaction to the hire of Collins. The big one to note is Cowart saying if he's not standing up in the defense then he is out. Per the reports I found he runs an aggressive 4-3 scheme rushing 7-8 leaving CB's in man coverage.
Obviously this isn't my position coach, but I trust in coach Mac's plan and vision for the program."
Florida three-star offensive line commit Tyler Jordan
"I'm very familiar with him. I spoke with him a bit on my visit to MSU last summer. They got a really good coach. He runs what he calls a psycho defense. He's a great person."
2016 Florida four-star cornerback commit Tre Jackson
"I think it's really great. He's an amazing coach and guy and I was really looking forward to playing for him. He's great at what he does. He's very intense and pushes his players to there absolute best. I will take an extremely closer look [at Florida]."
2015 Mississippi State three-star linebacker commit Darrien McNair (who Florida recruited for a while)
"I don't know a lot about him to be honest, but I am going to look into him some. As long as the defense stays kind of the same I am happy because I like the scheme they run."
Four-star linebacker target Jeffery Holland
"It's a good look for Florida. I've heard about him at Mississippi State."
Florida three-star cornerback target Jeremy McDuffie
"I don't know him or much about him right now. I want to see what defense he runs because if I'm not going to be standing up, then they're out. That's what I want to do in college."
Florida five-star defensive end target Byron Cowart
"I don't know much about him, but I know Florida is going to bring in the best guy for the job."
Florida four-star safety target Tim Irvin
"I am excited to get to meet him and talk about the defense he is going to run."
Florida 2016 four-star cornerback commit Tyler Byrd
"Aggressive guy and good closer for sure, very good with the defensive kids and sells his scheme well. Spends time showing them how they fit."
Rivals.com National Recruiting Analyst Mike Farrell
"I don't know coach Collins that well. I remember him from Mississippi State where he recruited me for a bit."
Florida Rivals100 linebacker target Roquan Smith
