Yeah, imagine losing multiple scrimmages to Trask.

It's hilarious how you shite on other Quarterbacks but cry endlessly about little Franks not getting the support he deserves.

Never shite on Trask, just said its obvious he hasnt shown enough to create an opportunity for himself to start no matter how bad Franks played. Youre the one who cant handle it.

This is true. Emory must have surpassed Trask since he had a few plays in the Georgia game. IN THE GEORGIA GAME!!!

No, Trask just has the same skillset as Franks (except he's a better passer). The bomb that Emory Jones executed was designed because Mullen assumed (correctly) that Georgia would sell out on the run.

Trask is, and has been, #2 on the Depth Chart every single week including this one while Emory isn't on the Depth Chart.

I'd assume that he's made the decision to transfer.

Yet Emory played first in the biggest game thus far. So, once more, Trask must not be doing something to get in the game.

Very possible

Actually Straws is right, Mullen said in his presser that Trask continues to get most of the 2nd team reps. Mullen also makes it pretty clear of his intention not to burn a redshirt on Jones, so he will be a r/s frosh next year and Mullen also said that he can play in 2 mores games. Asked by reporters if Jones would have been inserted briefly in the Georgia game if it meant burning a r/s and Mullen said probably not.

Then why play Jones over Trask? I wouldn’t think it was for the experience.

A slight troll towards Fields, perhaps?

Mullen also said "Franks has a firm hold on the starting QB job." That along with the "I Plan not to burn Jones RS" tells me one thing

Jones will start soon

For the reason I said: Emory has a significant run threat and Mullen correctly predicted that they would sell out the run giving an opportunity for a deep ball.

Trask is essentially Franks with a more accurate arm but less reps with the 1's. He doesn't offer much of anything that Franks can't already do. I think he's slightly more accurate and he's a smarter runner (doesn't jump, falls forward) but he also has significantly less repertoire with the receivers. He had a broken foot last year, so Franks has the advantage of playing more with the guys currently in.

tl;dr

Emory can run, Trask is the same as Franks with less time with the 1's and doesn't offer much of anything new.

It looks like Mizzou's top 3 wrs were out for the UK game. Have you folks heard if they'll be out for this one as well?

Straws...maybe you didn't notice that the longest run from scrimmage was 20 yd run by Franks? You act like he has done nothing right....your hate blinds you man. I said myself that Franks was awful overall in the game but there were other blame sandwiches to go around.

Finch, can you or someone else post the link to the presser? I kept getting knocked off internet explorer earlier. I think the presser was very telling.

Okay, first quit using Internet Explorer. Join the rest of us millennials, except UFMatt, and download either Firefox or Chrome.

Here’s the presser.

Dude, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox are not operating systems like Windows 7. They’re internet browsers just like Internet Explorer. They’re just far superior.

Do me a favor, just download Google Chrome and give it a test drive. Trust me, it’s not a virus.

I consistently say that he can succeed if he makes short passes.

Also, teams will give him 20 yard runs once every game every time. He's not doing that with any real regularity. All you have to do is just wait for him to make a mistake.

He had a good run.

But he had an absolutely shitty game. You can focus on the one thing out of a hundred that he did right, it doesn't change the fact that you're putting lipstick on a pig.
