ETA: I do appreciate that the whole "NewSpring Church machine" is finally starting to gain some national recognition. Had a Michigan friend from work ask me about it yesterday.

I've had 2 Georgia Tech and 1 Ohio State fan ask me about the deal with New Spring.

Yep...ppl are starting to put 2 and 2 together in that regard.

It's the worst. Using a church as a front for paying players/recruiting players/etc. just low down and dirty.

I've had a couple of Utah fans ask me about it as well.

The BYU fans are silent on the issue...

Clemson plays dirty behind the scenes on the recruiting trail.

This wouldn't have anything to do with their “recruiting committee" would it?

Revisiting the XT rumor mill again...there was a link someone shared on Twitter to an article written on our 24/7 site about the whole decommitting/flipping issue.

Taters are 'flipping' out and have flocked to XT's Twitter and are being kinda rude to the kid about the possibility. They are in panic mode and XT is catching it from them. So if nothing else comes of it...inciting full on panic in the taters and watching them harass XT was worth it.

I don't care if he comes here as long as he decommits from Clemson. A melt that size would would be too much to pass up.

The best part is that article didn't even really say anything. I read it this morning. It basically just said that sources close to XT said that a decommitment is possible but none of them said anything about it being likely.

That word 'likely' and the fact that it was already being talked about by Carolina fans has them losing their damn minds.

If the kid was on the fence about them, he may be pushed over it from the crazy arse reaction those dumbasses had and the way they basically gave (and continue to give) him a social media mauling.

Here's my fave theory: What if we manufactured all of this just to freak the frick out of the tater tribe knowing full well how they'd react..so that XT would see what he is in for.

ETA: We would deserve some kind of troll award if that was the case.

If XT did commit and went to somewhere like Alabama, would Clemson try to rat out bama just to have Saban wreck their shite in return?

Come someone PLEASE tell me how a kid who's dad's in federal prison (and has been for most of his adult life) can afford to go to a $60K a year school AND drive a late model F-150?

IMG is in Florida ... Clemson has a serious network down in Florida.

I think that's as likely as anything else. I mean for real, all this stemmed from a fricking retweet by Muschamp.

The REC wouldn't allow that. Clemmy would be processed.

And you know that he had to know what the fallout of that would be. And then he turned right around and retweeted KJ? Man's a genius, I tell ya.

Hey rooster...No idea how much truth there is to this, but I've heard 'thru the grapevine' that Muschamp is no fan of Dabo and vice versa. Have you heard anything like that?

You remember when Champ told Dabo that his wife(Dabo) was hitting on him(Muschamp)?

I love Muschamp. If I were little ol' skinny as a rail Dabo, I would not want to tangle with Boom.

Can't say that I could blame Dabo's sister/cousin/wife for hitting on Muschamp.

I had heard that but I actually asked him about that, in a roundabout way, at our Garnet Society luncheon in February. He just laughed and said no that wasn't the case at all (paraphrasing).

But I do believe he's more tolerant of Dabo, less of a friend so-to-speak. I think they have a cordial relationship. I know for a fact Boom does not like the way they negative recruit against us ... especially when they tell recruits that they'll never win a championship if they sign with us.

Boom is overcoming that with his staff's resume and also by appealing to recruits to be the first to break the barrier.

Still, I believe Boom and Dabo get along, but Boom keeps Dabo at arm's distance.

Dabo is weird as hell IRL from what I understand. A really strange person to be around ... like a yuckity yuck. His fans love him and he does a good job with the parents because he is, basically, a salesman. But that's also what makes Boom, and others, wary of him. Because when you are around Dabo he strikes you as a used car salesman. And I've even had Clemson people admit that to me.

Dabo seems mildly retarded to me. Seriously.
