No matter what school they went to. Would also like it to stay recent say within 20yrs.
I'm bias of course so I'll go with AJ Green Summerville, SC
not being bias would have to say the Beast himself J.Clowney Rock Hill, SC
ETA: Changed the topic totally so as not to piss off that guy bitching about UGA posters being here.

How that wouldn't qualify as trolling is beyond me.

you are the one bitching not one derogatory thing has been said on this board by a UGA fan that has been given permission to post here. I would understand if we were piling the board up with a bunch of anti SC crap but we are not...

What you characterize as 'bitching', I call 'lodging a rightful complaint' - about trolls from other teams.
Like I said in the other thread, there should just be one thread where you are allowed to post - set it up, ('Visitors Thread', maybe) and stay in there, and I won't bother you again.

J.Clowney
Right now, it's gotta be Clowney. I can't remember another player from SC where he's been the #1 recruit, gone to college to completely dominate, and after his sophomore year, be considered the #1 pick if he was able to leave for the pros.

Hope he only has 1 bad game next year. He will do good things in the pros.

Clowney is the best recruit out of any HS for the past 10 years from anywhere. He had a monster soph season. Lattimore has been really amazing too.

The best might end up being Clowney.
We've had a lot of great ones though:
Roddy White
Johnathan Joseph
John Abraham
Alshon
Sidney Rice
Green
Richard Seymoar
Albert Haynesworth
Tim Jennings

Didn't know they were from SC. Interesting.

I worked with Roddys sister or cousin at Alltel in Charleston in the hood off Leeds Avenue dead across from the jail. Rea talk, she had fore arms bigger than Clowney, was Geechie as hell and would Frick everybody here up.

To the date I would say professional wise.. AJ Greene.
Talent wise: has to be Clowney.
And personally: I will go with Sheldon Brown, played football with him in high school and still chat him up every once in awhile over email. Really good guy.

This is a good list.
+ Peter Boulware, Harry Carson, Sheldon Brown, Stephen Davis and Art Shell.
Probably more but those off the top of my head.

Wasn't Tony Rice from SC?
Also, I have a guy only the older people have heard of, but Tracy McGriff from Lancaster was unreal. I remember Bobby Bowden did everything in his power to get the kid to qualify, but it just wasn't happening. 6'3'' 245 with a 4.4 in the 40.
