Ehh, not really. I mean it goes both ways. Lots of UGA fans have obviously started to pay more attention to SC just because we've been losing, that's only natural. But if you just sit back and pay attention to the SC fans on the SECR (and yes, I know that's not an accurate representation of real life) most seem to be enamored with UGA whereas UGA fans don't really bring up SC at all.
My point is, from the beginning of football up until 2007, SC fans didn't really view UGA as much of a rival or talk crap or care about us, but now that yall are winning yall have ramped it up a notch.

Yeah I feel you on this one. It also has a lot to do with the fact that even though we've beaten you guys the past 3 years, y'all have played in ATL more. So while you guys are pissed that you've lost 3 in a row, we're pissed we still haven't been able to get to ATL with these past couple 11 win teams. This rivalry will be a lot of fun going forward, assuming we still are decent without Spurrier.

It might be the only time I root for UGA all year (depending on how the SEC East race is going) but I promise you I'll be rooting for the Dawgs and rooting hard.

We've always viewed ya'll as a rival, but who can talk crap without winning? The best we could have done was "well, we almost beat yall"
The game has always been close and intense, particularly since 2000 with a few exceptions. UGA fans just think they are above being rivals with USC.
Most say its because UGA already has GT, UF and AU- but I beat even if they only had GT as a main rival they would still look down on USC

I don't know anyone who would say that. Maybe someone in their 60s, but even that's a stretch.
In the 80s, UGA/Clemson was one of the most heated/intense rivalries in the country. Both teams were national powerhouses in the early 80s and played some great ones. We had some classics throughout the 90s too.
But the fact is we barely ever play them, and they're basically an afterthought. Nobody who isn't extremely biased actually thinks CU is a bigger rival than SC.

Yeah I don't see that happening. USC definitely has first dibs after GT, UF, AU, and UT
