Rich Rod ... whew. He would demand the biggest paycheck plus, again, I dunno. He has a little baggage. He left WVA in a weird way. He tanked at Michigan. He's doing well at ASU but if he left so soon, again, some might view it in a weird way.

He left WVU and Mich in a little bit of trouble, mainly for watching/demanding players practice during the "off season." One of our new Athletic Administrators, Judy Van Horn, was at Mich when Rich was there and could probably have more insight on to what all really happened there.

Again, I don't think Rich is the best option, but I don't think he's a terrible option. Also, I'm fully aware of the violations he committed at WVU and Mich, and I don't care about those b/c neither does the NCAA really.

SC's plane had some interesting stops the past week.

Columbus, GA
New Haven, CT
Dallas, TX
oh yeah, and it's in Houston, TX right now.

If we're talking to Bisaccia we have gone full retard.

Please tell me this is a satirical post...except for the Houston stop to talk to Herman. (And visit Jadeveon to recruit his 3 day old son.. )

ETA: Welp, evidently this is not satire. Ppl have been posting the image of the plane's trips (the tracker site) on several sites.

WTF would we be going to Ohio State and Yale for??

It was in Columbus, Ga, not Ohio. At least according to the FlightAware I've got pulled up. It has been in Indianapolis, too. The triangular flight from Cola-New Haven-Indy-Cola makes very little sense to me.

It's going to get very interesting moving forward...

I wouldn't look into it too much. Could very well be travel for the administration or a trustee.

The Houston trip could be telling, though.

This makes a little more sense, I guess. But I agree that the flight pattern makes little to no sense. DAMMIT...December can't get here fast enough!!!!!!!

With Herman being in Houston that is very intriguing. I'd like to have seen them make a stop in Memphis, though. Dallas would seem to indicate contact with Bisaccia. AAAHHHH!!! This is killing me...I wasn't nearly this interested and impatient after Holtz left.

The Biassca hire would be the worst possible thing that we could do. We want to make a splash with a proven recruiter, so we can't go for a guy that NOBODY has ever heard of.

Edit: Columbus, GA to talk to Muschamp? Hope that's not the case either.

When do the players leave for College Station? Just saw Nunez here on campus, so I know they haven't left yet. Did anyone else go down early on the plane for the game, possibly?

If you just saw Nunez, they haven't left yet. They'll probably fly out Friday. Also, the plane they take is different than the one we're tracking that's currently in Houston. They one in Houston is smaller than the one the players will take. This plane also stopped off at Dallas. College Station also has an airport, so it's unlikely that they would've popped over to Dallas and Houston this far our just to get ready to fly to College Station on Friday/Saturday.

Most likely this plane will come back to Columbia today or tomorrow and then fly to College Station this weekend.

Dallas could indicate Morris, too.

That said, if Bisaccia wants to come home to SC and be assistant head coach/ST coordinator on Herman's staff, that's a slam dunk, assuming Beamer isn't coming back without Smart.

what is the url for this flight tracker? Also just because our plane is in a certain city doesnt mean that we are talking to a coach from that area. tons of interviews and talking to coaches happen in a different city than they work to keep a sense of anonymity to it. at least thats what im gonna keep telling myself so i dont have to think columbus was to see muschamp hahaha.

I heard "thru the grapevine" that Tanner was in Dallas talking to a search firm before heading to Houston.

Well, it was actually Plano, basically a suburb ... but home to Eastman & Beaudine and especially Bob Beaudine who is a friend of Bob McNair's who is a Gamecock and owner of The Houston Texans of course. More importantly Eastman & Beaudine handled the placement of Fuente at Memphis ... not sure about Herman at Houston.
