I think they are going to help us get a few guys this year, but next year is going to be the real show.

Gotta think with Thompson as DL it'll probably be EJ as LB Coach?

TBS reporting that EJ is in an off-field role.

I know everyone wasn't necessarily thrilled when we hired Muschamp, but I don't know that anyone can find a single criticism of him since the moment he set foot on campus. So far he hasn't hit a home run, he has hit a grand slam!
Looking at how things have gone so far, I am glad we got him instead of Smart.

Well ... there ya go. Huge hire, huge get by Boom.
This staff has recruiting potential ... let's see if they can coach'em up.

Muschamp has put together the best staff out of any new HC hire this year. Way better than the job Smart is doing.

We're not done yet. I'll wait till then to crown one better.

Wrong board. I will refrain from calling you a dipshit

We've still got what, two more positions to fill?
It's going to be interesting to see who he fills them with considering everyone is finished with their bowls except for the taterheads and Bama.
Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmm?

And the NFL teams. Wouldn't that be a shocker.
What positions do yall have left to hire?

I think, maybe, if I am getting this right ...
Maybe a DE coach, or another secondary coach perhaps. Or a pure DLine coach and Thomson handles the DEs.
It's any combination of two.
I have no idea where it is going. He's obviously got something in mind.
Here's what Cockopotamous has so far in the OP ...
I dunno ... we may be done. That's nine.
Nine is the limit right?
Here's how the school is officially listing them as of this moment ...
That's nine.
Bama lists ten position coaches.
Looks like LSU lists ten as well.
Florida lists ten as well.
So ten must be the number, not nine.
We've evidently got one more to give ... unless they put EJ in there somewhere, but I've been told by more than one person who is supposedly in the know that he's going to be a special assistant quality control kinda guy.

Nine has always been the NCAA maximum for on-field coaches for CFB. USC's is full, with Roper having his open spot once he's done with CLE this season. If other SEC programs are listing 10 coaches, I don't know what the deal is with that: I guess the NCAA would have had to change the number, but it would have been in the last season or so...
If USC could've had 10 on-field coaches then Grady Brown could've still been one of them, instead of moving to an off-field position, similar to what they plan to do with Ellis Johnson....

You get 9 on field assistant coaches plus the head caoch.
I'm about to edit to OP because Hutzler is either inside or outside linebackers.
The last spot to be filled will be a linebacker coach

Hutzler is Spec Teams and Outside Linebackers. So we are looking for in Inside LB Coach.

Yeah, so ten total. That's what everyone else seems to be doing.
So we'll have two LB coaches, one I assume that will handle the Outside LBs and Spurs and the other will handle the inside guys since Boom seems to utilize a similar defensive scheme ... is that correct?
