I just have one for work to keep up with my guys and recruiting. That seems to be the college coaches preferred method.

The sign on the outside of the stadium has some yr from the 60s and then 88 and 89. The program went down after Mac Weir retired. They played for the Lowerstate title last yr and the yr before that. Bamberg has been pretty dominant the past couple of yrs. I fully expect Barnwell to win lowerstate this yr and would not be surprised if Silver Bluff wins upstate and then these two teams that hate each other will make for one helluva state championship game.

If the SRS hadn't downsized so drastically I'm certain Barnwell and probably Silver Bluff as well would also have been bumped to 3A. SRS pretty much feeds both B'well and the towns that feed SB. Pelion got bumped from 1A to 2A a few yrs ago, right?
Weren't there some teams that used to be pretty strong in the 2A circuit that got bumped down to 1A?

I'm not sure. The controversy around the realignment in the Midlands was more focused on Brookland-Cayce. They were bumped up to 4A but appealed to try to stay in 3A. Lugoff-Elgin was bumped to 5A but appealed to try to stay in 4A.
Chapin was one of the surprises to me because I hadn't really realized how much Chapin has grown since 2000. They were 2A in the early 2000s and will now be in 5A.

Pelion in 3A?! I lived there when I was married. Moved there from Barnwell. That place was a pit of hell in the middle of nowhere. How in God's name did they go from 1A to 3A? Is Batesburg-Leesville still 2A? I've quit keeping up with it like I used to.
