Why?

It's not stupid, it's just shite we don't want to know but we know is going on.

Everyone loves hotdogs, no one wants to know how they're made.

I'm also saying coaches don't get involved. Too Stupid to know that.

I'm actually very annoyed Nova wasn't involved I hate those pricks.

No way the NCAA can shut down that many programs.

Ever since what happened to SMU this will never happen.

Even Ole Miss got a light slap.

ETA: also to add, when the NCAA actually "comes down" on programs, does it even hurt them?

USC and Penn State got Punishments, then 3 years later both win their conferences and are fighting for playoff spots

Scholarship reduction, multiple season post season bans and probation (meaning anything even stupid like putting too much peanut butter on a bagel will give us more of a punishment because we are on probation)

Do you really think the NCAA is dumb enough to give Duke, UNC, Kentucky, Louisville Michigan State and Kansas post season bans at the same time.

CBS would never stand for it.

No of course not, and I said the only punishment that will come from all of this will be vacating of wins.

What I did say was those punishments will be "heavy", and I don't think they'll do that.

If that's the only thing that happens.
I see that as a slap on the wrist to be honest

That was meant to be a joke bc of what happened with the Whitney Hotel investigation. The money isn’t a large amount but we seem to over punish ourselves when the NCAA gets involved.

I really think the only punishment the NCAA will be able to hand down on this scale is vacating wins.

They won't go into postseason bans, because like many have said, it's a huge revenue source for the NCAA and CBS would never stand for it.

I also don't think they have the resources to even begin to address each infraction by each school individually. Would literally take years and years - and that's just for what has been announced today. It's going to get much deeper as this goes on.

Either way, I don't think there is any way the banner stays up. But who cares - we all witnessed what happened.

What else can they do to us...we didn't pay him to come here and agent paid him in hopes to sign him when he declared and failed...the university is innocent and a victim of the crimes. Worst we did was unknowingly play an ineligible player.

When the initial FBI document came out in Sept. '17 that implicated Evans, I defended CFM and the program by saying the document never indicated Evans took $$ while a coach at USC, nor a USC player was shown to take $$ while at USC. Evans took all his money after he left USC for Oklahoma State.

Now this comes out. I will keep my mouth shut about all this, because this most likely isn't even the tip of the iceberg....

Based on what we are have now found out about Evans, who recruited Dozier to USC, and Dozier, I have zero confidence that Dozier did NOT take $$$ to come to USC in the first place.

Which means, yeah, we played in the Final Four, but we most likely cheated to get players we needed in order to get there. The Final Four doesn't mean that much to me now....

Taters are starting to get worried about football...

I'd GLADLY trade our final 4 banner for their Natty banner.

I suppose but for me personally I won’t be able to think about it without knowing it got taken away / “doesn’t account” and reverse ruins the experience.

I see what you mean but it happens and everyone is doing it.

We just happened to get caught.

Don't care, still did it.

and it just keeps getting worse

quote:

There are basketball figures from every level in the documents: Meetings with Nick Stapleton (“Trainer of Collin Sexton, the best rising Sr. PG in America”), Johnnie Parker (“handler of Chimezie Metu”) and financial maven Rudy Cline-Thomas (“He has a close relationship with Festus Ezeli, who may be firing [agent Bill] Duffy”).

Dawkins, 24, provides a roadmap for the quid-pro-quo relationship between the agent world and college coaches. He dangles a high school prospect – five-star recruit Brian Bowen – as potential trade bait for schools to steer their best players to ASM Sports. On the same July day, Dawkins wrote to Miller that he connected with two Big Ten assistants, Dwayne Stephens of Michigan State and Chuck Martin, formerly of Indiana.

The email recounts the interactions from Dawkins’ perspective:
“Dwayne Stephens – Trying to close the deal on Brian Bowen for Michigan State. Trying to do a trade deal for (Spartans) Gary Harris, Miles Bridges, etc”

Chuck Martin – Trying to close the deal on Brian Bowen for Indiana. I told him if we can work together and if he can push for us to get (Hoosiers) Thomas Bryant and OG Anunoby two projected first rounders from IU this year we can work something out.”

Just their fans talking. They know their recruiting is shady, and has been for a while. Now that the crap ia hitting the fan, they fear it's just a matter of time.
