Forget Hilinski's arm. Forget he even plays. What he brings to the locker room outside of all that is the EXACT reason you want him to stay.
The fact that Bobo is going to run off a kid like him makes me want to do an Eric Cartman on him...

I could live with that (but I wouldn't call it great), if the on field development was there for those undervalued players. Do you think it was?

Fair, that is why i put in decent.
That job of holding the class of 2020 together was a great job.

Rando thought, but again, I'm about max efficiency in my line of work. If you own a company and you already are on the hook $15 million in buy out. But the guy you brought in clearly is in over his head. Why the hell not just demote him to Defensive Coordinator and get something of value for your dollar. He doesn't have to move. You keep some continuity. And if he gets a better offer elsewhere. YOu're off the hook for the buyout.

He only had to do a "great job" holding that class together because he did such a shitty job coaching the players that were already on campus. They deserve zero credit for that.

Just had a conversation with a family member that is drunk on the “Shane Train” Kool Aid because “he learned under great head coaches” and “the players from back then loved him”. I mean what the frick? By that logic we should hire Jay Paterno or Tommy Bowden.
I mean frick. They got mad at me when I said we should hire Chadwell - “he’s only had one good year at Coastal” and I asked them how many good years has Beamer had as a HC? DC? OC? And then they went full hissy fit.

I said of "Value". meaning he can in fact field a defense. Something we haven't done in 5 years.
