Looks like its currently down to Kitchings and BMac for RB coach. Robinson is out as of now.

BMac was the RB coach at UGA with some good RBs, and people would point to it as the best coaching/recruiting of his career so far. But to me it would be disappointing. I want Kitchings.

The current predicament is Champ will put him there if he cant find another job. apparently thats the best option instead of paying his buyout.

Once again Champ's loyalty gets in the way to being successful. Who knows maybe itll all work out.

What Bmac is going to do is the holdup for hiring a new rb ccoach. I think the Steelers are supposed to make their choice today.

Wasnt sure where else to put this but it has to do with hiring so I'll slap it in this thread.

MAKE THIS WOMAN HEAD OF OUR BOTs NOW!!

A BOT member asks what the definition of fired "for cause" entails for a DL coach. After an explainer, she says, "So 'cause' would not be if every SEC team we play runs for 400 yards?" This is my favorite ever moment in board of trustee meeting history.

I was talking about the jobs he held at those schools
RB coach, recruiting coordinator, AHC/ WR, then was an interim HC for a game and didn’t get the job, co-OC/WR, then OC by himself, then demoted to whatever he is (i guess RB coach if this other guy doesn’t come) or WR coach in Pitt.

Oh ok. Jobs would mean different schools. You are talking about Coaching positions. I understand now. Guess you could say the same for Bentley in the last 3 years.

Very unpopular opinion here but id have put Bentley in an pff the field role this year brought in Kitchens and made Bentley the WR coach next year

Same. I was really hoping McClendon would get the Steelers job though. $1 million for a WR coach, even if just for one year, throws the budget off and doesn’t allow us to maximize this staff.

Do people really like Bentley being a position coach on our staff? He hasn't impressed me as either a RB or TE coach, so maybe an analyst role is a better fit for him.

Would we be looking for a new WR coach if BMac is moved to RB coach, or would he just coach both positions?

Just going off of numbers there wasn't much difference between the year Bentley was rb coach and last year when Brown was RB coach in fact the ypc avg was the exact same.

There is 1 player, that we all know , who gave the credit for his skills to Bentley and that guy is Lattimore.

Wouldn't expect Latt to say anything less because he's a coach's player.

Marcus came out of high school ready for college and Bentley is part of the reason why.

My issue with Bentley as a rb coach is hus rotations are asinine...he regularly pulled a back when they were just getting going. I'd rather have a younger more charismatic guy in Kichens coaching rbs than Bentley. Bentley was only rbs coach to try and offset nepotism with Jake here. Jake's gone don't let Bentley coach rbs again.

That is a huge concern of mine because a running back needs to get into a "zone" and jerking in and out will not allow for that.
