Pitt had a great OL Coach before, but this new guy they have is awesome too.

He was also Ohio St's Recruting Coordinator for 7 years before Urban went there.

Grimes at LSU was my top pick, but since Coach O was promoted he'll be staying there I would think.

Peterson would def have my vote of confidence now. Pitt was one of the more consistent offensive teams all year. They beat two top 10 teams with far less talent, bc they could control the line of scrimmage.

Texas OL Coach, Matt Mattox, just became available as well. Mattox led an OL this year that opened holes for UT's 2nd leading rusher of all time. Midwest background. Born in KS, played JUCO at Butler, college ball at Houston. Coached at Bowling Green, Houston, Tulsa and UT. However, he had some good and some bad stats.

This year UT was:
19th Rushing Offense
105th in Sacks Allowed
52nd in TFL's Allowed
10th in 1st Down Offense
98th in 3rd Down Conv
105th in Fewest Penalties.

So overall, not that impressed. Not a proven recruiter either, UT recruits itself.

That sacks stat has me concerned. We don't need anymore QBs scrambling for their lives every other play.

I should have clarified. I mean Sign me up for being on board with John Peterson not the dude from Texas.

Pitt Stats
24th Rushing Offense
3rd in Sacks Allowed
68th in TFL's Allowed
24th in 3rd Down Conv

Ah ok my mistake. I don't have a problem with us hiring the Pitt Oline coach at all. I wouldn't mind if we made him the highest paid Oline in the SEC for that matter, just as long as Muschamp and Tanner fix this shite.
