I agree. If the UGA job comes open at the same time, then we may not get our first pick. Hate to say that, but it is a more attractive job (minus fan pressure) than ours is.

Yep. The announcers at the end of the game white knighting for Elliott "They really should give him a long, hard look"...how about STFU and hell naw!!

All this lovey-dovey-rah-rah-I'm Dabo 2.0 bullshite surrounding Elliott is worth exactly nothing. So what if the players like him. It ain't about like. It's about wins. And dammit, nothing less than wins. We deserve that for all the shite we've had to put up with over years and years of being Gamecocks.

You go CC! I'm with you - my sentiments exactly.

If we end-up with Shawn we are in trouble for a long long time.

Just win, baby. I gave Shawn the benefit of the doubt, but it's quite clear we need to go another route.

Just for a worst-case-scenario, let's say that our top three targets all decide to either stay where they are or accept other offers. Our backup options of, say, Matt Campbell or Rich Rod also decide to go somewhere else or aren't vetted by the AD.

That leaves USC with two coaches who openly want the job: Elliott and Bisaccia. We have a pretty good idea what we're going to get with SE. But Bisaccia is a virtual unknown. Which option is better?

I know, this is scorched earth style shite, but it's not completely out of the realm of possibility. UTK had pretty much this exact scenario play out when Dooley was fired. Gundy said no, Cutcliffe said no, Strong said no, and Gruden said no. Jones literally called the AD and was able to get the job.

Last resort, I would take Elliott over Biassca. Only because of familiarity.
