Yes and they accepted our terms. I'd be interested to know what players and high school were involved.

I'd be interested to know what happens if we didn't.

Granted this feels like a slap on the wrist I feel like this is a slap of events that often go unnoticed or unreported.

It was a petty violation. Petty punishment.

The only self imposed punishment that caught my eye was this

quote:

Reduction of fall evaluation days by four, from 42 to 38, during the fall 2017 evaluation period (self-imposed by the university).

Is that a reduction of fall camp by 4 days? Or is the fall evaluation period something to do with recruiting out in the field.

It has to do with how many summer camps we can hold...

Thanks. 42 days of summer camp doesn't sound quite right, so I Googled.

NCAA link

quote:

During an evaluation period a college coach may watch college-bound student-athletes compete, visit their high schools, and write or telephone student-athletes or their parents. However, a college coach may not have face-to-face contact with college-bound student-athletes or their parents off the college’s campus during an evaluation period.

It sounds like the coaches have an extra 4 day dead period (call, text, dm, or write to the athletes only)

Yes but the kids can contact the coaches during dead periods....ie a commit calls coach and says who do you want to talk to and then he sends recruit X a text to call coach and boom loophole

Dead period just means no physical visitation. No face to face.

Coaches can call, text, and write all they want.

Click the link. It is all there.

Well in that case I thought they changed that rule due to texting and that when coaches got big on social media to loophole it
