The Twitter verse is swirling with him and South Carolina having had contact and mutual interest. Heisman candidate from 2018. Horrific leg injury a couple years ago, they say he’s just about 100% and cleared to play. This is interesting with the freebie year given by the ncaa. I don’t see an issue with this honestly. Let Hilinski/Doty develop for a year in the offense and Milton shine.

I dunno. Don't we have enough Qb's already.

If his was a hot fire DB, then I'd be excited....

Apparently he’s been running scout team this year some to get back into the game.

I get it
But I’m not sure how “back” he could be
Also, i understand this is a free year. But if Hilinski or Doty are that good, they should take over the reigns next year

Are we seriously gonna bench ANOTHER QB for a hobbled transfer?

I can absolutely see your point. But at least this time it would be for a qb that was actually a winner pre injury

Only we would do this. Because Hilsinki def needs to sit an another fricking years to "learn an offense" so we can hobble out kid whose one injury from being crippled for life.

Do I need to give supporting evidence that once an athletes legs are damaged. They're never, ever the same and are 99% prone to one awkward turn leading to an ended career? Because I can

If it takes Hilinski this long to learn an offense he’s not that good
He played last year, and he should have played this year

Elite recruits play day one, even QBs

Hillinski is smart. Exhibit A: The kid had an offer from Stanford. And no offense to Carolina, but they don't let dummies into Stanford, even if they are football players. Exhibit B; Intelligence, at least to some degree is genetic and his brother is in Med School at Carolina. (Generally) They do not let dummies into med school.

If he's Stanford smart, he'll pick up the new playbook fast enough.

So why didn’t he play this year?

I don't believe that for a second.

And, are we really going to go through this for a second year in a row?

I don’t believe any of this really
Don’t think he’ll be here
Don’t think he’s 100%
And don’t think we need him

If you were a "Heisman level QB" would you come to a school

1) In the middle of a coaching change
2) With the 2 QB's and 1 commit on our roster
3) our "lack of talent" at WR (let's see what Ortre and Shi do) Who do we have on the roster after those 2?

I hate to say it but there are better options out there than us right now.

He’s not a Heisman level anymore

I don’t think anyone wants him

Guy hasn’t played a competitive down since 2018

He’s a huge question mark , and my prediction is he’s not that good anymore

Not giving opportunity to the talented QB’s on your roster is a sure fire way to end up with no QB’s. See 2020 Georgia Bulldogs.

He’ll wind up at Miami, Georgia, or UF next year.
