Let's Make This Board Great Again

I hate to see what has happened here. This used to be a quiet little backwoods board that had high quality posts despite the very low quantity. There was a consistently enjoyable atmosphere, regardless of the performance by the Gamecocks. Now it feels like a chore to go through and find posts that are worth reading.
Here are my thoughts on what will make this board great again:
1) As adults, you should not give a flying frick about upvotes or downvotes. For those that are concerned about it, I downvote every post I see talking about downvotes. Move on and spend your time and energy on something positive and productive in your life.
2) This board is not a repository for your conflicts with posters on other boards. From time to time there are going to be disagreements between posters on this board. Leave those issues where they originated. Nobody here wants to read about your petty squabbles on another board.
3) Do not defend Cockytalk. This is a different environment than that website. The beginning of the decline for this board started with the bitcoin scam that shutdown that website for weeks and caused an influx of new posters. It appears that it has been sorted out, so here is a link to it for those refugees that haven't returned home yet. cockytalk.com
4) Take a moment before you hit submit. It will make you a much better poster.
Let's get this board back to the place it used to be.

100000000000% agree.
I know I've been guilty of #2 in particular in the past. The whole up/downvote thing only pissed me off in one particular situation that concerned my child but other than that I've mostly found it amusing. And perplexing bc I'm a woman, hence nosy.

Let me be the one to slightly disagree.
#1 - The DV has actually been a running joke, at least for me, and something to chat about otherwise the site may grow cobwebs.
#2 - I think it would be preferred for disagreements to be kept here instead of the main board. Having PM option would cease this.
#3 No one has brought up Cockytalk in months plus I know of 4 or 5 posters on this board that also post on CT. Asking people to leave this site is ludicrous as we are all part of the Gamecock Family.
