I was listening to the podcast last night when they dropped some knowledge on how effective Wolf is being on the recruiting trail. A visitor we are supposed to get, that the staff is really high on, is 3* OL Jakai Moore. The note that JC mentioned about this guy in terms of Wolf is that this guy was so off of the radar when Wolf pulled the trigger on the offer, that he wasn't even in 247's database. Wolf is scouring the country so effectively that he's able to find guys that the recruiting industry has no knowledge of much less an accurate picture of their skill set.

***Side note: another tidbit from that podcast was that it is being said that the most recent Gamecock Commit Tyshawn Wannamaker could be, when it's all said and done, the best OL to come out of the state of SC since AJ Cann. That makes missing on FT Dorchester's John Simpson sting a little less.

Wolf is a bulldog. He is probably one of my favorite assistant coaches that we have had. All around good guy and not afraid to work. He definitely fits in well with this staff.

I think what few Gamecock fans are aware of is how Boom has built an instate network (and is expanding it out to the 250 mile radius) of Carolina alumni and HS coaches feeding this staff info on unsung talent.

Now, that's a complete 180° from the last two staffs who relied on camp stats and offer lists.

What Boom is doing with trusted alumni, taking all tips as viable and worth investigating, is going to pay off.

Admittedly, both Sparky Woods and Brad Scott would have coaches follow-up on tips ... the biggest of course being John Abraham (who was a complete unknown with little football history but a ton of size and speed and athleticism).
