No, it wasn't revisionist history. Yes a lot of people here did like the hire, but there were plenty saying you don't give the premier program in the country to someone that has never coached a single game. I understand a lot of fans falling for the good old boys hiring practice, but an AD is suppose to remove feelings from the equation and hire the best person for the job. Holbrook was not the best person he could have hired. And Holbrook destroyed the program in spectacular fashion. From three straight years in the finals to not even able to make the tournament in a couple years.

The hire of Holbrook was regarded as a good hire from a lot of national media, recruits, and fans. He had been apart of two programs that made finals, was assistant coach of the year, and brought in many #1 recruiting classes. he failed because his practices were undisciplined, and he was a bad in game coach. I hate Holbrook, I feel him at CofC is too close to me still, but I don't hate the hire. Kingston is another guy who from the national media perspective was a good hire. he may not pan out, but it wasn't a bad hire.
