Secondly, can frank coach? Does his system really work? He certainly can’t recruit, or motivate.

Frank would be a good coach in the 90s or at a school like DePaul or St Johns.

But now with the game using a lot of analytics
It has passed him in terms of trying to get talent to a school that doesn’t support basketball

You are absolutely wrong about our school not supporting a basketball team. Lady Gamecocks have led the nation in attendance. If Frank puts a winning product on the floor the fans will 100% support it. This is on Frank not the fans!!!

That's not at all what I said.

Any school would support a winning team.

Those schools don't. They are BASKETBALL SCHOOLS.

we aren't.

The minute the women's team starts losing and not winning titles, they wouldn't get the attendance they do.
Our school is a fairweather basketball school.
And nothing wrong with that at all.

This isn't on the fans at all, this is on him, and he's bitched about it before. Sorry Frank, we don't care about basketball unless we win. Small private schools in the NE are more Rabid for it. Try that out instead.

This is exactly what you said. This means that we don't support basketball which is totally false. Maybe it's not what you meant if so you should use different words.

So who's fault is it that top recruits won't come here? Frank or lack of support for a losing team?

Frank hands down.
Frank is not the type of recruiter.
He sucks.
He bitches about fan support all the time.
if he were at a school that were basketball first he wouldn't bitch.
He is not the right fit for us because a number of reasons.

Frank was scary at Kansas State.. he came here and stopped dyeing his hair and just looks old and like he doesn't care most of the time.

Frank got Lucky
he fell into a program that Bob Huggins helped big time in his one year.
Was given 2 5 star Recruits that he had no playing in and was able to keep a 20 win program afloat.

He stepped into shite here and had to build. Hes never done that.

I love Frank Martin as a person, and I appreciate what he has done here. That said, if we don't make the tournament (not likely) this year, we need to move on. We have given him way more than enough time to right the ship.

Sadly, he can't. The game is just too different now. He's a relic and I mean that as a compliment. The game is about coddling ego's now.

With that said, the talent in CLT, Raleigh, Cola, Charleston and Augusta is more than enough to field a damn good team. But its going to take the right guy and a little luck.

The looking old doesn't bother me...but this statement does. I think Frank has a going through the motion mentality but an "in your face" attitude when the games don't go as he planned. The players can't continue to ride the emotional roller coaster that has become Frank. He like an unpredictable time bomb. He seems to think the Final Four run was enough IMO....
