Apparently he turned down a Pro Teams offer to be a DB Coach and a FCS's team offer to be a HC to stay at USC for another season. He said that this '14 DB class has the ability to be really special and he wants to be a part of it.

If he can make this young group of guys do good things this coming season it will do wonders for his career. Not sure it would be the same as being an NFL position coach or a smaller school head coach, though.

Still glad to see him stick around.

Glad to see a coach actually stay here and not bolt. He will have a tough task on his hand coaching up our young db's getting them game ready.

Awesome. Would have been a huge blow if he left during the recruiting season

Can anyone chime in on the loyalty of our staff? Elliot seems very loyal, and you can't really question Junior. What a/b the others?

Whammy seems like a loyal guy as well. I think that we're seeing a great shift into more loyalty from our coaches and they won't be bolting so quick from now on.

Too bad scrooster is still banned. He'd probably be able to expound greatly on your question.

We've had a lot of coaching turnover since Spurrier took over. A lot of coaches had success here and left.

I'll never forget how stoked I was when Coach Rychelski came on board for Spec Teams, I thought, here's a guy who's going to turn us into a VaTech like Spec Team unit, and he did a great job....but was one and done. We went from a bottom tier Kickoff/PR team to being 2nd in the SEC in BOTH during just 1 year under Rychelski.

I think Elliott's loyalty is w/o question, he turned down Bama.

Whammy is loyal, but honestly we had to pay for that as well, (not saying he doesn't deserve it though.) 3 years with the DC Title and 3 straight years of Top 20 Total Defenses. That clem5on fricker hasn't cracked the Top 20 once in 3 years and gets paid more than Whammy, they're just stupid taters though.

Grady is in it for at least this DB group, he's already proven that turning down those offers.

Junior goes w/o saying, but after the Duke thing this year I can tell he's itching for a progression.

I don't know about Joe Rob,

Mangus is loyal, and will continue to be. Spurrier could've fired him, but kept him on after the tiger paw peeing incident. I'm glad he's loyal too, he's a solid recruiter and our QB play is awesome the past 2 years.

Botkin is also a guy I'm not sure about, but it was just his first year, so I'm sure he's building loyalty both ways with the school.

The S&C Coach is building a resume'. He went from being an Asst to the man for a D1 Top 10 team overnight just last year.

Sands has also turned down offers as well. So I think he's trying to make his mark here to.

If we can keep this group until Spurrier retires and who knows, possibly beyond that, I'd be happy. (As long as we're winning of coarse.)
