I still dont get the joke behind it all. Go to all the extremes to get posters to give you a game prediction, which is extremely common, and then possibly fabricate a story that the winner gets a free gold ring from a civil war era gold coin just so at the end they can yell " gotcha there is no ring". I can only assume, if it's a hoax, that the poster responsible doesn't want everyone to know how stupid they are.

Yea it’s to get an address and a name and then dox. That’s the worst case scenario with this but when it’s a new account with very little posting history that ghosts after they don’t get the winner they want it seems likely. At this point I’m willing to think that it was CNB himself.

I will be bluntly honest, laugh at me all you want, I just read up on what " dox" is and frankly thats fricked up. Just to keep it real I'm the type with that " mental disposition " that would hunt the person and all his blood relatives down for revenge.

As far as it being cnb wouldn't that have to mean that he also had Muschamp and dabo involved to ensure his prediction won? If he did that then my hat is off to the man. Or are you saying he pretty much dropped the alter after the person (s) he wanted didn't win? Like maybe someone new that lives in Blythewood huh?

No offense taken. I understand that impulse, I’ve had it myself, but it’s good to take a step back and cool off when it hits. Nothing in our corner of the internet is so serious that we need to start bringing IRL stuff in to it without another’s consent. We talk shite about sports, it’s entertainment.

If someone posted all my personal information online there would be no taking a step back and cooling off. It would boil in my blood until I exacted revenge against that person and anyone else they loved that I could get to. If I couldn't get to them I would go after any of their family or friends. This is the way all my friends growing up were raised.

Trust me there are ways. Face it we don't know who we are actually dealing with most of the time. We have no idea of posters mental nor criminal past. Putting peoples personal info out there is potentially dangerous for both the person being posted about and the person doing the posting.
I also would hope that someone out there would stand up and do the right thing if they found out someone they knew was posting peoples personal information. Frankly I can't believe we are actually having to discuss this being an actual thing that happens.

Been MIA this past week on vacation. Anyhow, I think it’s pretty obvious this was an alter at this point. Who I don’t know. Reading the guys post methods and wording, I can’t really tell. Could be a few people, but whoever it was went silent back in early Feb though.

This seems like lot of work, fueled by a great deal of anger and revenge, just to go after someone on a sports message board. This kind of activity seems more plausible when dealing with a ex girlfriend, wife or boss. I think someone was trolling. I had to look up the term so it wasn't me.
