Is the arguement against keeping bobo strictly in reference to playing collin hill or does someone have an actual arguement?

Yeah, probably. And that's fair, he stuck with what wasn't working well past the point that it was obvious Hill wasn't the answer.

That said, if you want to keep Bobo on staff I get that. New coaches often want assistants with a lot of experience. I think the way to do it would be to limit Bobo to the run game. There's no denying the improvement in that aspect this season and he deserves some credit there.

I doubt Bobo would stay if he was demoted to run game coordinator. He is a good play caller and can coach up a QB. He may have played favorites with his transfer QB but but he is a good OC.

I'm sure Bobo doesn't want a demotion, but is there really a huge market out there for him? He wound up signing on with Muschamp when the whole world could see he was getting fired.

If it plays out that way bobo would likely be qb coach and riley one of the wr coaches. I would lean towards bobo as playcaller

If Beamer really gives Bobo total control of the offense I think fans will have a meltdown. The idea here was that Beamer learned under Lincoln Riley and would want a similar offensive system. Bobo is miles from that

I get that in theory, but what about Bobo's lengthy history as an OC and playcaller leads us to believe he has any interest in running an air raid style passing attack? You give him complete control of the offense and we probably get Collin Hill back to run the same shite that didn't work this year

It is on the HC to meet with his staff and decide what type of offense/defense the team will have. If an OC/DC can't adapt, then find someone else next year.
