Wes Green watched our game today. He was very complimentary. Hopefully he also watched UGA choke to an unranked team again.

Also, Prince said that Mangus is one of his favorite recruiters and likes how straight forward/no spin he is about the process.

DJ Smith watched out game and was quoted as saying "Great game. They played a good team and have great coaches so I was impressed."

Prince
Green
Smith
Wideman
Scott
Lammons

Who do we land out of this group? Obviously Green Smith and Lammons are higher priorities

I'd say Green, Smith, Wideman, and Scott. Prince is a toss up right now and Lammons I haven't heard much of

Read today that lawing is recruiting Scott and UF offered recently.

Lawing recruited havelock for us because he graduated there so he's probably had a relationship with Scott for a while.

Scott just seems to be looking for a better option than us. Reminds me of sawyer

Poona Ford is now back on the table. Strong is going to TX. Ford had a great Shrine Bowl game and a really solid season. He actually bumped up in the rankings and may bump up again in the final January rankings.

You serious? This is nuts. How many can we realistically expect to take at this point?

Over the summer, we thouht the numbers were going to be really tight, and when Abu committed, everybody expected us to walk away from Poona. Coach Sands didn't though and just kept in contact with him. Poona was a having a good Sr year.

At the Shrine Bowl he was hanging out with all the Gamecock Commits (Crosby, Blue, Shaq, etc...) and said they developed a bond. Then recently he said he might take an OV to SC after his upcoming OV to Louisville and depending on how that OV to Louisville went.

Well now when he goes to that OV to Louisville, Strong might not be there and the asst coaches won't know if they are going to be there next year or not. I would think that single point GREATLY swings the pendulum here in SC's favor.

We can only take 22 with the sanctions, but yeah, we started the season thinking we were taking somewhere b/w 14-18, but that's not the case anymore. We have 7 Four/Five Star recruits who legitimately have us as their leader or in their Top2. We aren't at the level yet where we can turn down that kind of talent.

Prince
Scott
Wideman
DJ Smith
Wes Green
Poona
Caldwell

Well we have 16 committed now (Abu already signed his LOI) so one of these guys will be the odd man out I guess. I think we have to skip on Wideman if he doesn't qualify, but if he does it will be hard to tell one of these guys we are full. I think the CBs are in without question (if we even get Green) but it may end up being Scott that goes elsewhere. Honestly we just have to wait and see.

Well I don't know if they give out a defensive MVP for the Army All-American Game but I think anyone who watched knows that Sawyer is a beast.

Lamin and other EEs can count backwards though can't they?

Can't remember how many we took last year

We had an initial class of 21 last cycle, but then DeVante Covington didn't make it in, and J.P. Vonashek did make it in but then left the program, so ultimately only 19 got in from the 2013 class...

I agree with that. 3 Sacks is the best stat defensively for either teams' players.

Yep, I'm about 95% sure he picks USC. Just with everything we have open, comments he's been making about our team/program, all the crystal ball predictions trending our way...it just makes sense.

Also something interesting in our favor, he only has one official visit set up and its to South Carolina on the 17th, which is after he commits

Good point. Yep, there are just too many pieces in place...I would be pretty shocked if he chose anyone else.
