Voters passed this in November 2016. A stipulation was that all of the medical cannabis had to be produced in state.
So, growing operations had to be set up, and our fundy GOP turds tried to derail it through the lawmaking process.
But you can buy medical MJ in Arkansas now. Hot Springs was the first city to get theirs open.

Supposedly one of the distribution centers is going to be right by my work- we shall see. With pot and casinos I may never get anything done.
Excuse me- dispensaries.

I thought you lived in Missouri for some reason.

Nope, I’ve always lived in AR- hopped around some but within the state.

From what I gather West Memphis is due to open one soon. In large part to get the lucrative Memphis, TN business.
I have some pretty strong doubts about its use as a "miracle" drug like some folks claim... but if it helps anyone then I'm all for them having access to it.

This nearly passed the first time in 2014. It passed solidly in 2016. It makes me wonder what our chances are of passing recreational now.
We are a little bit more liberal/libertarian than most Deep South states.

Well unless they claim residency, they can't get a card. FYI, here's a link to a list of the approved dispensaries.

It's good that we included locally grown into our amendment, to foster the growing community. It's just a shame it took over two years to implement.

I love Jesus but I'm just a natural born sinner.

I foresee a lot of new "residents" for West Memphis then.
And I agree, its great that we are making this an Arkansas enterprise and keeping the money in state.
