The death of defense was greatly exaggerated.

Makes sense when you think about it. We had a ridiculous amount of QB talent run through this conference recently. Burrow, Tua, Jones. And on the outside you had guys like Lawrence.
Just to name a few. Maybe it was just a round of exceptional QBs.

I agree, and furthermore, many jump to conclusions when a team has one bad game, or one shootout, over the course of an entire season.
For example, Miss State getting their asses handed to them 5 times doesn’t mean their defense is bad. It is in fact very decent.

A lot of SEC offenses put up just as many or more points against Bama than you dipshits did in the title game

I think a lot of it really was that 2020 practice season being abbreviated and then not allowing for much actual contact. No way to practice being a defense if you can't eventually actually scrimmage and hit some folks.

Offense looked good in January when Bama waxed that Ohio State arse

Yeah I'd hold off on the premature ejaculation until you play Georgia.

Exactly. The Covid season affected the game way more than people admit. Teams that didn’t have a lot of continuity from 2019-2020 had no chance.

I would hold off on thinking that the Georgia D is the 85 bears until they've played a real offense.

Didn't Oregon beat the crap out of Ohio State? Maybe you should hold off of the thinking thing. You don't do it well at all.

Oregon won by 7 in 2nd week.
Ohio State had a freshman qb playing in only his 2nd game, and a freshman rb making his first career start.
If you think that Ohio State now is the same team in week 2 then you aren't very bright.

And got trounced by Utah. So, what's your point? I mean it was the second week for Oregon, too, wasn't it? Or did Ohio State manage to play an Oregon team that had 8-9 games under their belts?
