Did anyone really expect Saban to stay at Bama this long?

We are extremely lucky that he has done so. I figured he’d want a new challenge by now, but I guess he saw Bama as the best possible place to be.

There isn't much reason for him to go anywhere. He already tried the NFL which didn't work out.

As far as CFB, he is sitting pretty as king of Tuscaloosa.

I've always hoped he would go full NCAA '14 and go to some random school like App St to see if he could win a natty for shits and giggles.

No would gave guessed 6 years.

He is the first coach since Bryant to control and have the bluff on boosters. He will cuss out a booster in a split second.

Ask them Drummond coal boys about crossing Saban.

He has a very transient personality. But he saw what he built and realized the possibilities for sustaining success. I could have told him what was coming, but I've been a BAMA fan a lot longer than this newbie.

Being at the Mecca of college football can obviously be a very overwhelming feeling.

I had doubts in early 2010's that he'd maybe jet for another try at the NFL but he's bigger than any senator or governor our state has had. Hail Saban.

I was in school at Alabama when he came. I lived next to a walk on *tight end and got to hear all the stories about Saban changing the culture and the difficulty of practices.

I did not think he’d be there this long. What a run.
