Sophomore Ross Neltner tipped in a Brandon Bass shot with just tenths of a second remaining to give LSU an amazing 61-59 victory over Alabama (No. 14 ESPN/USA Today, No. 16 AP) Tuesday night before a raucous crowd in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center and a national television audience on ESPN.

Hopefully we get another exciting game like that tomorrow night. Too bad there won't be a big crowd. I was at the game and it was pretty electric.

I don't remember Neltner specifically but I remember that game. Just another in the long line of Mark Gottfried gut wrenching road losses.

If I remember correctly that was the year we lost to UW-Milwaukee in a 12/5 NCAA Tournament 1st round game and gave rise to this guy

I liked when Bama was good at other sports. Good times.

I know man. Didn’t mean it as a dick. It was more exciting when we could actually both be playing for something meaningful. Y’all looking strong in basketball. I think y’all on y’all way in baseball too.
