I know it is very unlikely, but as a player watching how Pitts has been highlighted in our offense this year, why would he not bring his talents to Gainesville?

It would be a great get for us, but I doubt he'll come to an SEC team. We did it with Cox, and it'd be nice if he did but I just don't see it happening.

I think he would have to sit out a year since it's in conference, even though this year doesn't count because of COVID.

It'll be interesting to see if we reach out.

but do you think we should waste our time on a risky player, that could easily transfer out again?

does he kinda label himself as a quitter?

Cox sure hasn't.

Grimes has a little bit, he seems unhappy in general, but getting happier the more targets that he gets.

The only thing I will say is that with Emory Jones taking over, it might not be an easy sell since Trask is the gunslinger.

Wasn’t shorter also labeled as a problem kid coming from penn? I’m sure I’ve read something along those lines before. He seems fine. I just don’t think it would hurt to reach out and gauge his interest.

I guarantee we reached out, but I just doubt he goes anywhere other than Georgia.

We're also pretty loaded at TE.

Zipperer is a Sophomore
.
Jonathan Odom is a Freshman

Gamble is a Redshirt Junior.

Then coming in from the 2021 Class:

Gage Wilcox

Rocco Underwood, our lowest ranked recruiter but was being recruited by Alabama as well.

So we'll already have 5 TEs next year, and the rotation is already in effect. Gamble leaves, Zipperer and Odom start.

Zipperer leaves, Odom and Rocco or Gage start.

It's just a really stacked room, and the guy might have to sit out a year, too, since he'd be transferring in conference.

If he smart and see the stats Pitts put up in 6 and half games

No question. Gator

Hope he sees it if not I like Zipp and Elksnis for next year

Grimes has 8 touchdowns what he got to be mad about

When shorter had a very similar top shelf grab touchdown he was the first guy there to congratulate him. From the bench

Grimes Twitter he seems pretty happy. Think yall reading him wrong. Copeland is the one that is off and on with anger because of targets...but he does not block insanely well and has quite a few drops. Though when he does catch it he runs like a boss.

Grimes scoring touchdowns is so stoic, like others celebrate his touchdowns more than him so I read as him just not being happy.

Copeland would get a lot more passes if he actually caught the easy ones. He's easily got the worst drops on the team this year and even last year when Kyle almost got a 300 yard game against Tennessee but Cope dropped a dime on the sideline.

I'm pretty sure they let every player who transferred from an SEC team play this year. I think they waited a game or two to announce it but they let Mays and Reese play for UT and OM.

And if Trask was still the qb it would make a lot of sense for Gilbert to go there but like you said, with the two qbs next year it doesn't since you'll probably adjust to a run heavy game.

I was just coming here to post this.

Yeah we’re deep in TE, but Gilbert’s got those awesome hands! It would be Pitts 2.0.

Let them battle in the Spring. I would bet AG wins the job. I really like watching him play. Perfect Gator!

Yeah, they are pretty strange with who they let play and when. I still think we return to a bit of regularity next year, though, who knows?

Yeah, this is gonna be the last year that WRs/TEs are going to be catching this many passes until we get another coach down the line. Mullen runs the power spread, and will go back to running a lot more than passing.

Not only that, I posted above that we will have a total of 5 TEs when he steps on campus, two who have had significant playing time this year as backups to Pitts, one in the same year and then two commitments from recruits.

There's just no room for him, and we won't be passing a lot next year or the year after.

The highly rated TE from Vegas went to UGA and caught 2 receptions so far this season.

The numbers at Georgia are still pretty pitiful.

Fitzpatrick: 6 catches for 54 yards.
McKitty: 6 catches for 106.
Washington: 2 for 59.

Pitts has more catches, yards and touchdowns than all of them combined.

Even our backups have 5 touchdowns between them, your three TEs only have 2 touchdowns combined.

Gamble alone has the same points production as your entire TE corps and he's a backup.

He's also probably talking about Darnell Washington

I get it. We also had some spotty qb play to start the season. Maybe JTD can turn things around a bit for us.

I think we are too loaded at RB next year. May end up being our deepest position.
