Looking more and more like we hired the wrong guy. Vitello has UT at 10-0. Beiser is about to go to 4-6. UT is scoring a shite ton of runs. Mizzou can't do squat with runners in scoring position.

I wanted Vitello, was happy with Beiser and was certainly hopeful when he first got here. Now, it's starting to look hopeless. He just hasn't brought in the talent. Little offense. Defense is just not good. Pitching is mediocre.

I can't remember, was the decision a Sterk decision? Does Beiser's seat get warm next year? Ya can't go back an undo what has been done, so I guess you ride it out and hope, especially since it's a non-revenue sport.

I thought the last asshat hired him. Mack rhoades or whatever his name was.

Vitello was who I wanted as HC, but I don't think Bieser was a bad hire.

Sure, his seat gets warm, but he'll be here for a couple more seasons even if his current production stays the same. IMO

A great baseball program is not a high priority for this university, but it needs to be in this conference.

I want bieser to succeed. It's not gonna be easy though

Well there's still hope. Came back from down 0-5 and won 8-7 in extras against a solid Oklahoma team. Make it 5-5.

Got to 6-5 by beating tejas. Anytime you beat tejas in anything, it's a good day. Tried to give the game away but held on.

First thing Beiser has to do is let go of his infatuation with our catcher. Guy can't catch a breaking ball even if it's down the middle of the plate.

Border has done a decent job considering the complete lack of support and priority put on the baseball program and the league we play in.

Assuming you're talking about Bieser. And yes, decent is probably a good word to describe it. 34 to 36 wins each year so far is not bad. Not making the tourney however is not acceptable, I don't care what conference you play in or what support they do or don't get (and Mizzou gets more than a lot of college teams).

I don't know how many games you've watched under him but some of his in game decisions are a bit baffling.

Not many to be honest, but in terms of the SEC we definitely have bottom tier support and facilities.

We haven’t had a winning record in conference ever, and that spans two coaches.

I wanted them to hire Vitello too

Yeah, in the SEC we might not just be bottom tier, we may be THE bottom in terms of support and facilities. The thing about baseball is you don't need the facilities and support like you do in football or basketball in order to be competitive. There are tons of universities out there that compete nationally with lesser facilities. It helps but not needed. Maybe if you want to win the SEC or a national title but not to make the tourney.

Hopefully Bieser gets it figured out because he's had some good teams and solid talent. He just needs to learn what it takes to get to post-season.
