I've noticed many writers who are now shifting to "Yes, it was a bad loss, but Barry has overcome this situation before and blah blah." Some likening it to a bad blip on the radar.

Which leads me to wonder what will the real fan reaction be if WV wins.

Lol...you need to wonder?

If they come out and look something close to their potential then you’ll see the bandwagon fill back up somewhat. If they don’t...well, it’s going to be full blown nuclear time

JQ, Of course it will be bad...I only wonder how bad it will be and how many future consecutive wins will it take for BO to be in good graces?

Man, it’s going to be REALLY bad.

He needs to win this game. He needs to go beat South Carolina and Kentucky. A loss to Georgia will be for given of course. Probably a loss to Florida wouldn’t be too bad.

He’s got no rope left though with a lot of the fanbase

I said I’d be disappointed with less than 9-3 but the loss being to Wyoming changes the dynamic

If they lose to a WV team that struggled against James Madison last week and only had 34 rushing yards and 294 total yards, its going to be a bloodbath from the fanbase. You will see an empty stadium for the rest of the year. Mizzou was already struggling to bring people back after the 2015 shitstorm, and starting 0-2 vs these two teams would all but end the program.

James Madison is the 2nd ranked FCS team. They are better than a lot of G5 teams. Probably a middle of the road G5 type.

I understand that.

WV is a power 5 team in the big 12 and had 34 rushing yards. 34. rushing. yards.

Not that it matters though. Our run defense is pretty terrible.

If he wins 9 games this year almost all will be forgiven. If he wins 8 or less it gets progressively more disgruntled.

I don't know if it's bandwagon or not. I think most want Mizzou to win every single weekend.

I think you hit the nail on the head last weekend. I just don't know if it matters winning this game. The hurdle BO has to overcome is shitty starts to a season. Last weekend already took care of that.

And KA won a national championship. I don't give a shite what they are ranked among FCS teams. Not a chance in hell Mizzou should lose to them.

Same as no chance Mizzou should lose to Wyoming. Because JMU is probably close to Wyoming in talent.

I'll put it this way. It's completely unacceptable to lose to Wyoming. Or at least it should be.

You sound like you're already trying to soften the blow if we lose to WV by throwing this shite out there and I'm telling you that it is completely unacceptable to lose to them this year. Can we lose? Of course. If we lose, should BO catch holy hell? Of course.

No I agree with you. I’m just pointing out that the top FCS teams are similar in talent to mid level G5 teams.

So it would be like the Cards losing a series to a top triple A team.
