I think Auburn has the most variance in how good or bad they could be. I'm going in the middle, which is slightly better than what I've seen nationally (around 8-4). Many people key in on the QB play, but every really good Gus team has had a feature back that took the majority of carries and led the SEC in rushing or close to it. Auburn had a good QB last year and went nowhere. We maybe should be asking if there's a back that can do that in their RB room just as much as asking how good Nix can be. Defense looks solid.

When Gus calls the plays and has a dual threat QB he can be really good. The D is solid. Hiring Chip Lindsey was a huge mistake. I've got them at 10-2

He's had two really good years and a couple of decent ones. Everyone of those had a feature back that took the majority of carries. One of those years he had a very good dual threat, one he had a pocket guy who was athletic, and another he had an average QB who could run some. It's interesting to me how very few people ever talk about their RBs.

No doubt there's been some great ones, but know nothing about the current one.
