Why did Alabama celebrate the Orange Bowl win, they hadn't won first place yet. They had guaranteed at least second place, but still celebrated.

It is easy to jump on the LSU gymnastics team for coming in second place but they have a quality program down there. They do things the right way.
Now, am I glad they lost? Sure. Because LSU and Arkansas are locked in this weird secondary sport death match over who wins the most national titles.
I am, however, more then willing to acknowledge that LSU has built, from the ground up, a tremendous program in that sport and they should be damn proud of what those girls have accomplished.
