First-round matchups:
(1) Vanderbilt vs. Sacred Heart
(4) Nebraska vs. Arkansas State
(2) McKendree vs. Maryland-Eastern Shore
(3) Sam Houston State vs. Stephen F. Austin
Double-elimination tournament.
Each matchup is broken into 3 parts, each worth a point:
1.) Traditional game with 5 bowlers; team with the highest cumulative score wins a point
2.) Baker game (first bowler throws frames 1 & 6, second throws frames 2 & 7, and on down) with 5 sets; team with the highest cumulative score wins a point
3.) If it’s tied 1-1, there’s a best of 7 Baker game, where head-to-head scores are compared.
Round 1: Sacred Heart wins the traditional game, while Vandy wins the Baker. Sacred Heart wins the tie-breaker game to advance.
Round 2: Vandy is matched up with Arkansas State, who lost their first round match with Nebraska. Loser goes home... Vandy wins the traditional and then the Baker to advance.
Round 3: #1 Vandy will face #2 McKendree Friday morning with the winner to face #3 Nebraska, while the loser goes home.

Friday bowling:
Round 3: Vandy wins the traditional and McKendree takes the Baker. Vandy takes the tiebreaker 4-0 to advance. Will take on the Cornhuskers in a few hours.
Round 4: Vandy beat Nebraska and gets to face them again Saturday morning!
Saturday bowling:
Round 5: Vandy takes down Nebraska and their super-geeky coach a 2nd time! On to the Championship tonight to face the LadyJacks of Stephen F. Austin!
Championship: Congrats to the LadyJacks, who were clearly the superior bowlers on this day.
Good season for the Lady Dores, though! Tough to repeat as champions...

That team was so young I really thought we had a shot at a 3 peat as they got older but beating the Hulkers, er Hefties, er Husky's, er Huskers it did salve the wound a bit.
