Maybe, possibly, EA's reign of terror is over?

I want to be excited about this. I assume it can't be worse than EA, but with Disney's recent Star Wars track record who could possibly know?
This also seems really strange since Disney abruptly closed their own video game operations just a few years back.

Yeah seriously, the only way Star Wars games can be good again is if Disney's creatives are not anywhere close to them.

Isn't a new Star Wars game supposed to come out this year?

Can't wait for the Rogue Squadron spiritual successor where Holdo grounds your character for being an effective pilot.

Battlefront 2 was actually a very good game. the problem was due to the size of battles there is no ranked ladders or incentive to keep playing really. i can only play so many games of something where i'm not making any progress towards a ranked ladder or something of the sort. also would need a full party to make a big impact on the overall game with 64 people in a match

The optimist in me hopes they realized any cost savings done by licensing their IP out instead of making their own games isn't worth the damage companies like EA do when they shite all over their target consumers.
The pessimist in me worries they just want to cut out the middle man so they can fart out mobile games loaded with micro transactions and keep all the money to themselves.

If it wasn't on origin it would have been huge. Fantastic game.

You mean EA. This is one game the launcher didn't hurt. The devs hurt it before launch.
But agree it really is a good game. Just missing any life and those loot boxes at launch put a bad taste in my mouth.
